Hungarian, 8x56r, Austrian m30, Hungarian m31
The 8x56R cartridge was developed by the Austrians
for the Steyr-Solothurn light machine gun, then adapted to the m95.
It was adopted as the Austrian M30. In 1931 the Hungarian Army adopted
cartridge to replace the Austro-Hungarian 8x50mm. The new round was
designated as the m 31.
