T-Projects and the Environment

We're working on environmentally friendly T-Projects everyday and making enormous environmental strides—retiring our oldest diesel busses, replacing them with hundreds of new CNG busses and reducing the average age of our busses from 14 to just 4 years. In just two years, the T will reduce particulate matter emissions by 92% and pollutants that cause smog by over 44%.

Working collaboratively with the Environmental Protection Agency grant program, we're working on a first-in-the-nation pilot project to develop a model for locomotive engine pollution control devices and our efforts to develop an Environmental Management System have received national recognition and serve as our platform to identify new opportunities to reduce, reuse and recycle.

In 2007, we'll use this space to update T-Projects that are making a positive impact on the environment.
