Triple J's J Award for the Australian Album of the Year has gone to The Presets for their electro album Apocalypso.

At a ceremony in Sydney this afternoon, the electro duo were praised for their "creativity, mystery and distinctive sound".

Brisbane six-piece band The John Steel Singers picked up the Unearthed J Award for the best unsigned Australian act.

Mike Daly took out Australian Music Video of the Year for The Herd's 20/20.
