My fitness has improved!!!

Quote  |  Reply

Hi im 15 years old, male about 115 (last time I checked, pretty log ago) and 5'2" (I know, Im short, but Im a super late bloomer, my dad's 6'4")

Well, I used to be a super fatty and only played video games and watched tv.

Then I decided to lose some weight and get fitter and started eating healthy and exercising.

This is how my stats have improved (I havent had my growth spurt, so I dont lift weights):

From 3 pushups to 40 (in a row)

From 0 pullups to 8 (in a row)

From an 11 min. mile to 6:43

From 5 situps to 100 (in a row)

From 0 chinups to 11 (In a row)

I also have recently learnt to do a handstand for about 1 min. (moving around a bit)

I am so proud of myself at this point of my life. I havent got mass muscles and I have a kind of slim non-muscular body, but Ive got a little bit  definition in my back and my pecs and biceps and triceps.

That sounds fantastic! Good job. Your hard work  has paid off with amazing results.

Back when I was in high school, we always had timed runs and fitness tests. I never got around to improving my fitness level.

Do you mind sharing what are some exercises you did or how you trained? how long it took you to get that sort of improvements ? (so others like me can get motivated too)

Of couse, although I am not an expert I can recomend that you try cardiovascular training like 3 or 4 days per week, or as much as you can or will. Then every day do some pushups or pullups or situps when you feel bored and slowly you will start losing some weight.

Dont obsess about food, just eat whatever everyone eat (not cake ans stuff, of course!) and dont do any snacking, just veggies if you really feel hungry.

I hope I helped, this is what I have learnt about losing weight so far! Im sure you can also do it and the good thing is that when you become slim, it seems hard and difficult to binge and to gain weight because you have a healthier lifesyle.

Congrats!  Keep up the good work!! Cool

That's awesome!  Great job!  :)
