The Amazon Honor System has served an important function for members and for Amazon.com since its inception in Fall 2001. The Honor System has also been central to Amazon's larger efforts to assist disaster relief agencies such as the American Red Cross.
The Amazon Honor System has been a safe and easy way to support websites and to buy digital content online. Participating websites have displayed an Amazon Honor System Paybox that linked to a PayPage at Amazon.com, where Amazon.com customers could make a payment quickly and securely using their existing account information.
Although we are discontinuing the current Honor System framework we intend to continue our support for charitable giving with new technologies.
Amazon Payments offers a number of products that allow website owners to add a stand-alone e-commerce payment solution or an entire shopping cart process to their websites. By using Amazon Payments, you can enable tens of millions of Amazon customers to complete transactions on your website using the same information in their Amazon.com account.

Amazon.com supports many organizations and worthy causes through our Wish Lists and Associates programs.
