'spongebob' Nets Record Viewers

Nickelodeon hit "SpongeBob SquarePants" absorbed its biggest audience ever in a special primetime episode that aired Monday.

The "Lost in Time" special drew 8.6 million total viewers and 5.2 million kids 2-11, making it the biggest audience of the year to date among

children behind the Super Bowl. The episode was also the highest-rated program on Nickelodeon in about five years.

Another Nick series notched a personal best Monday morning, with preschool series "Go, Diego, Go!" reaching 1.4 million viewers among kids 2-5 and 3 million total.
