Transfer Your Pictures to PhotoWorks
Dear AOL Pictures User,
You may have recently received an e-mail explaining that as of December 31, 2008, AOL will no longer provide the AOL Pictures online photo service. AOL is thrilled to have partnered with American Greetings' PhotoWorks, an online photo service that enables our AOL Pictures users to continue to upload, share and create with their digital photos. Like AOL Pictures, it has unlimited, FREE photo storage for its users. Plus, PhotoWorks provides great options for printing or creating calendars, mugs or a ton of other photo gifts. Guess what else? If you sign up to transfer your AOL Pictures account to PhotoWorks now, you can receive 50 free prints as part of your first order. Just go to http://pictures.aol.com and select the option to Transfer your Pictures to PhotoWorks.
We encourage you to take advantage of this great partnership and Register for PhotoWorks now.
Sincerely,
The AOL Pictures Team

3. Hey AOL, you say "we have to look carefully at all of AOL's features to make sure we're providing as much value to our members as possible."
That's an insult to our intelligence. "Providing value" means MORE services for the same cost, not LESS or NO services.
A reputable company doesn't treat it's customers like trash by dumping on them like AOL does.

4. Since AOL has terminated my account; how to I retrieve all of my information in my address book and all saved information? I have done the necessary legal steps and have sent a registered letter to CAT (Communuty Actions Team) with still no reply. What a joke, no action at all!!!
AOL has stolen my personal and business information with no explanation and I want it back. At the very least, someone sould contact me and explain to me what to do.

6. After seeing my AOL Hometown page shutdown, I'm a bit sceptical about taking on anything else to do with AOL.
I've transferred my Homepage to Geocities.
My Photos are dealt with using FLICKR. It's free, works well & will more than likely be on the go well after AOL cease trading due to the credit crunch !
Cheers,
Phil.

7. Hello
I am still attempting to get somebody to help me with this issue please.
I don't see where to post this so I'm posting here in hopes that somebody will see it and help me. I believe that part of the benefits of being a paying AOL member is that my AOL Memmber Profile shows up in the Member Directory when searched for. Since I do have one. I've tried everything to solve the problem and I believe it is the AOL system that is defunct.
I think that is fair that it be fixed and I'm only asking very nicely for what is right.
I have created a profile but it is not showing up in the AOL Member Directory search when I search my screen name for it...DeadSunDisturbed.
It looks like I do not have a profile.
Can you please help me with this issue? I feel that if I have an AOL Member Profile, which I do, that it should show up in the Member Directory search.
I would really appreciate greatly any help you can give me with this matter.
Thanks Very Much!

8. AOL is a shinning beacon ofexample on internet and is doing the best they can do at the moment given business models at hand. Availableness can not always be taken lightly but tough decisions par come the day. Do not hasitily cancel any AOL. AIM is stronger everyday and rumors of canceling AIM unfounded. God Bless. Move pictures quickly to take advantage. Thank you. Thank you.

10. AOL, I would certainly like my hometown information that has been removed too. I see that we do not have to worry about our pictures now as you have transferred to American Greeting.
I would hate to loose my AOL pictures too. Are the AOL pictures the ones we send out in an album? Please get me my cancelled hometown files. Thanks.

11. Well. Unfortunately Hometown is no more and actually not topic of this entry, so please stay on topic. Thank you. Hometown files do not exist but plenty of warning was had for transferral saving, so no go I'm afraid, but you can rebuild always with new html or however program used to build it then. So that is that. Please no more hometown references on this thread. Hometown is banished and hence deadline but customer service is much improved and value enhanced dramatically. There is elsewhere it is covered for comments on this site. Talk only about picture transferrals here as mentioned. Another board listed below is accepting all talk about Hometown frustration with more sympathy. God Bless. Gently let AOL Hometown go - as instructed.
