A good portion of Johnson's collegiate career has been spent splitting carries and battling injuries. That's why his effort in Oregon's victory over Oregon State in the Civil War had to be satisfying. Johnson absolutely shredded the Beavers, rushing for 227 yards on just 17 carries. His speed took center stage on a pair of long runs -- one for 79 yards that set up a 9-yard touchdown run on the next play from scrimmage, and another that he took 83 yards to the house.

The 65-38 victory completes a three-game winning streak that propels Oregon into a second-place tie in the Pac-10. Perhaps just as satisfying is the fact that it spoiled the Beavers' chances of playing in the Rose Bowl.
