Riding profile: Mille-Îles riding located on the eastern part of Île-Jesus. It consists of the eastern part of Laval bounded by: the boundary of the city of Laval in the Mille-Îles River, the boundary of Laval in Prairies River, the extension of Notre-Dame-de-Fatima Street, Saint-Martin East, Papineau Highway (19), its right of way, Lacasse Avenue, Laurentides Boulevard, Sainte-Rose Boulevard East, the CP railway line, the division line of lots 1 and 2 of the territory of Sainte-Rose Village, the division line of lots 46 and 47 of the territory of Sainte-Rose parish and its extension in Mille-Îles River.

Riding history: The riding was created in the 1972 redistribution from Fabre riding.

In the 1992 redistribution, it kept all its territory and added Laval polls from Vimont riding.

In the 2001 redistribution, the part of Laval bounded by: Perron Boulevard, right of way of Papineau Highway, Lacasse Avenue and Laurentides Boulevard (2,748 electors) was added in the east from Vimont

1973

Liberal Bernard Lachance defeated Parti Québécois's Jean-Roch Boivin by 2,188 votes.

1976

Parti Québécois's Guy Joron defeated Liberal Lachance by 10,070 votes. He was appointed minister responsible for energy, November 1976; minister of consumer affairs, co-ops and financial institutions, September 1979. Resigned from cabinet Nov. 6, 1980; quit as MNA Feb. 26, 1981, because the sovereigntists lost the 1980 referendum.

1981

Parti Québécois's Jean-Paul Champagne defeated Liberal Jean-Pierre Bélisle by 3,196 votes.

1985

Bélisle defeated Parti Québécois's Champagne by 3,547 votes.

1989

Bélisle defeated Parti Québécois's Lyse Leduc by 3,867. Resigned in May 1994 because he didn't like government's handling of public finances.

1994

Leduc defeated Liberal Chantal Tremblay by 1,371 votes.

1998

Leduc defeated Liberal Sylvain Lefebvre by 865 votes. Leduc announced on Jan. 16, 2003 that she would not be running again.

2003

Liberal Maurice Clermont defeated Parti Québécois's Maude Delangis by 5,582 votes.

2007

Clermont defeated Action Démocratique du Québec's Pierre Tremblay.
