Problems in USA and the world in my opinion that mass-media and world most influential persons have Al Gore vision about Global Warming. It is far from scientific. Our discussion will read one or two persons. The same "Newsweek" will not published my full article about Economy, Energy and Global Warming despite as I think As Christopher Dickey as Tracy McNicoll repeat the same mistakes of Al Gore that carbon dioxide is only one player in the Nature.

    1. Clouds reflect huge parts of solar energy back to space: thick clouds-75-90%, thin clouds-30-50%;
    2. Forests contain much more carbon than does grass and they also absorb more sunlight and produce more water vapor, which affect cloud formation.
    3. Water vapor is one of the lightest gases and has tendency to go up to cloud level. Water has another properties it takes a lot of energy to evaporate water. Evaporation of water will cool air temperature. Despite that water vapor is greenhouse gas, it tendency to go up bring them on cloud level, where distances between molecules bigger and heat in form of infrared radiation will go to space more easily than on ground level. No others greenhouse gases have these properties. Of course, reduction of carbon dioxide in the air will cool the Earth. Water vapor will also cool the Earth. We need increase evaporation of water. It is significantly cheaper then efforts to reduce greenhouse gases.
    4. Sun is the best source of energy to evaporate water from growing trees. Water evaporates from surface of oceans, seas, rivers, and lakes. It also evaporates from land, grass, leaves of trees. If tree grows on some area surfaces of all its leaves will be many times bigger than area where it grows. It mean that evaporation of water in this case will be the biggest and not only will cool the air of the Earth but also produce the cheapest, really ???green??? source of energy, which can be used in any time during hundreds of years.
    5. White fresh snow reflects to space 75-95% of Sun radiation. White cars, houses, roads will do the same.
    6. Energy of the wind thanks to convection bring heavy carbon dioxide molecules on top level, where infrared radiation also more easely escapes to space. Energy of the wind evaporates water from any surfaces on the ground. It is also evaporates water vapor from fog, clouds and droplets of rain in all atmosphere. These processes cool the air and the best tools in fighting global warming.

Al Gore suggestion that only carbon dioxide reduction will cool the air of Earth is true only in situation when we completely forget about property of water vapor and role of wind in cooling air of the Earth. We need to respect Al Gore for bringing attention to global warming problems and at the same time correct his solutions.

I agree a great time to take people's mind's off of Wall St. and onto Main St. with a new focus on clean energy. Government subsidies would go far in this regard.

Ordinary citizens will fix global warming when they fully understand the problem and the available cures. The globe is covered with a thin layer of atmosphere a few miles thick. That layer of air weighs about the same as a layer of water over 30 feet deep. In other words, the atmosphere is a relatively thin layer. Our atmosphere contains a small percentage of carbon dioxide. In 1950, the atmosphere contained 280 parts of carbon dioxide gas for every one million parts of air. However, by 2000, the CO2 level had risen above 360 ppm and the rate of increase has been accelerating.
The problem of global warming is caused by the increase in carbon dioxide in our atmosphere causing an excessive greenhouse effect. Global warming is occurring because we have increased the quantity of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The actual thickness of CO2 in our atmosphere is miniscule in physical terms.
Carbon dioxide is composed of one atom of carbon combined with two atoms of oxygen. The thickness of carbon that is causing the erratic climatic changes throughout the world is tiny. However, despite the miniscule quantity of carbon, removal is essential for mankind. Otherwise, the deleterious effects of global warming will increase. Worldwide temperatures will rise even more rapidly over time. Temperatures will continue to rise for centuries and ocean water temperatures will increase. Climates will become destabilized and unpredictable. These issues among many other environmental concerns are discussed in detail in the hard-hitting environmental forum www.onebiosphere That forum holds no punches and levels criticism against environmental groups where they are failing due to political power plays and caving into power plays and financial interests at the expense of the deteriorating envrionment.

With all this interest in "Green Power" I have to wonder why the airline industry seems so quiet on the subject.
Just how are these aircraft going to fly without the fossil fuel that at some point will no longer be available?
It seems to me immediate research into turbines powered with an alternative fuel is essential.
Not just for driving aircraft though the air but for power production as well. Turbines are interesting devices, in a hydroelectric plant the turbines are driven by water that supply the likes of Las Vegas and they never turn off the lights.
Offshore oil platforms use turbines for all power on these huge installations, those turbines are powered by natural gas that is supplied as a by product of the crude oil, and their power usage is equivalent to a small city.
Why could power for a small city not be provided by turbines perhaps powered by alcohol or ethanol in smaller widely dispersed facilities rather than say Nuclear power plants?
As for the Airlines they had better get interested soon or they will not be flying, period and it will happen in this millennium.

Clearly, all our economic efforts must be directed to public works projects for renewable energy systems, with the exception of biofuels. The more we invest here, the value our country accumulates. It reduces our dependence on fossil fuels that create greenhouse gasses to reduce global warming. It stops us from sending money to countries that want to cause us harm. It keeps our money in the US and helps revive our economy. If we can get homeowners to install residential solar/wind systems that will dramatically reduce their family???s energy expenditures, they will have more money to help pay for social security and healthcare. This is the gift that keeps on giving.

Along with some solar farms, wind farms, and yes, some nuclear power plants, perhaps they should open solar panel and residential wind turbine factories. I think they need to open mines to supply the materials for the solar panels. If we can dramatically increase the availability of these products, the price should become more affordable.

Frankly, I feel those stimulus checks do nothing more than increase the budget deficit and send money to China for wide-screen TVs.

As long as Obama KEEPS his campaign promise to Spread the Wealth, that's all the people need. Obama promised to give free money from the people with millions and the rich politicions and give it to us. Obama promised to buy our homes that were being foreclosed and he promised free medical, prescriptions and dental coverage. There is no need for us to work and pay taxes when Obama will pay for what we need.

Sarah palin when asked about becoming vp responded

"As for that VP talk all the time, I tell you, I still can't answer that question until somebody answers for me, 'what is it exactly that the VP does every day......"

Around a week ago she was asked again and this time said

They in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.

WRONG THE VP IS THERE TO STEP IN IF SOMTHING HAPPENS TO THE PRESIDENT ONLY THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH POLICY AND THEY DONT RUN THE SENATE!!

If she doenst understand the job why would we give her the job

Mccain has around a 40 percent chance because of his age in not being able to
As many as half the people between 72 and 76 are disabled or die
Hopefully mccain would be the exception but picking palin was about as smart as picking any other mrs Alaska contestant.

In the exchange with "Joe the plumber" Obama unintentionally revealed that he really is as radical as his early political mentors and acquaintances, Davis, Ayers, Wright, Khalidi etc., (gee, there sure seem to be a lot of them) and that he is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Now there is absolute proof. In 2001, Obama, the "community organizer" turned legislator, said in an interview:

"And I think one of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and organizing activities on the ground that are able to bring about the coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways we still suffer from that,"

    2001 Chicago Public Radio Interview.

Obama's tax and spending plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.
See Wall Street Journal: A Liberal Supermajority:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122420205889842989.html

Indeed, some democrats are publically saying as much. See Barney Franks comments on the news, including face the nation last week, stating essentially that Democrats in Congress intend to greatly raise taxes and go on a spending spree.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJGnSAlqjoU

    See http://www.taxfoundation.org/blog/show/23617.html

Obama's ill-conceived programs will require him to tax, and his health care plan alone is a substantial hidden tax on all business, large an small. In reality, it does not really matter who he taxes, those taxes are going to be passed through the economy. He has to tax, because it is they only way he can pay for his massive social engineering experiments. Any first year economics student knows that taxation is a tool used to contract an economy experiencing inflation, because it reduces demand by reducing the amount of money individuals and businesses have to spend. It is contractionary, which is exactly what you do not want to do when the problem is that the economy is contracting already into recession. Like Hoover and FDR, Obama's plans will only make it worse for longer.

This moronic scumbag Samuel J. Wurzelbacher "Joe the Plumber" had his AZ driver license suspended

    http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/128323

Wurzelbacher, who lived in Mesa in 2000 and had an Arizona driver's license, had his driver's license suspended by the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division on May 4, 2000, following a nonpayment of a court-imposed fine for civil traffic violations, according to court records.

...owes nearly $1,200 in back taxes, according to public records, still owes more than $700 to the Mesa court system.

Records show he was cited for failure to stop at a red light and for failure to provide proof of insurance on Feb. 9, 2000, in a black Dodge truck at the intersection of Dobson and Baseline roads in Mesa.

After failing to pay his original fine of $627.50 issued in March 2000, his license was suspended and the fine was handed over to a collection agency along with a 16 percent surcharge. The now-resident of Holland, Ohio, still owes $727.90 to the Mesa Municipal Court, according to court records.

Hopefully the collection agency will break both of his legs so he'll never be able to walk nor work ever again. This typical Republican scumbag deserves it.

On the domestic front, there is ample <a href="http://switchboard.nrdc.org/blogs/paltman/clean_energy_just_the_stimulat.html/">evidence</a> that green investments coupled with a strong global warming policy would create millions of jobs in the United States.

    THE GREAT BUSH DEPRESSION
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He was the last to know somthing was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. Check out this link to the truth http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideo
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
Let's teach him we are smarter than that
Stand up and hold them accountable
Bush isn't on the ballot this year but his policies are
    Elect Obama Biden 2008

    Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005),
What does redistributive mean. Well, remember that it was the liberal Left-Wing Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court that brought us this little jewel, holding that the government could take your real property, like your home, not for public use like a road or school, but to give to another private individual, such as a political contributor or other party hack or interest group.
Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005), was a case decided by the Supreme Court of the United States involving the use of eminent domain to transfer land from one private owner to another to further economic development. The case arose from the condemnation by New London, Connecticut, of privately owned real property so that it could be used as part of a comprehensive redevelopment plan. The Court held in a 5-4 decision that the general benefits a community enjoyed from economic growth qualified such redevelopment plans as a permissible "public use" under the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment. Justice John Paul Stevens wrote the majority opinion; he was joined by Justices Anthony Kennedy, David Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer
The decision was widely criticized by American politicians and the general public. Many members of the general public viewed the outcome as a gross violation of property rights and as a misinterpretation of the Fifth Amendment, the consequence of which would be to benefit large corporations at the expense of individual homeowners and local communities. Some in the legal profession construe the public's outrage as being directed not at the interpretation of legal principles involved in the case, but at the broad moral principles of the general outcome.

Honestly, looking at McCain and Obama objectively (without any party affiliation or any racism) I really can't see why anybody would vote for McCain. Obama has offered a much more coherent plan to get America out of the economic disaster we are in.

Right now, most people are anxious about the economy, fearing the worst but hoping for the best.

Reality check: within 18 months YOU could be standing in a bread line. That's how bad it really is. And Obama will work actively to prevent this short term, as well as make us strong again long term. As much as I like McCain and admire his patriotism, he really is not up for the job, not now with the global markets falling apart.

Obama's economic plan can be found at:

To all of the conservatives out there who think that Obama is a flaming liberal, I would like to remind you of what he did when he was elected President of the Harvard Law Review. The Law Review President gets to name ten individuals to write articles for the Review, and these ten people get to control the content of the publication. All of the minorities and the liberals thought they finally had it made, that Obama would appoint ten left wing editors. Instead, Obama appointed three conservatives, three liberals and four moderates. That year the Law Review was critically acclaimed as the best run and best written Harvard publication in decades.

So when he wins in November, conservatives don't have to freak out. Obama is a centrist and will appoint a balanced cabinet full of active people who will really get things done. Kind of like the way our multi-cultural society is supposed to be. And exactly what we need in this time of economic crisis.

ObamaYesWeCan is a McCain supporter. He poses as an Obama supporter and posts nasty comments designed to make Obama supporters look bad. He used to give his web address, and when you went to his website it was clear that he supports McCain.

Not to mention, OYWC, that "Joe the Plumber" is old news. You have re-posted this one thousands of times in the past two weeks. At least write something new. We're bored out of our minds with this re-run.

I'm an Obama supporter and I wish Joe the Plumber well.

Our nation better wake up and smell the coffee. With all our bail outs along with the 168 billion economic stimulus package, that btw did nothing for our economy it is hard to understand why our government can't see the need to bail us out of our dependence on foreign oil. I am appalled at all the articulating stories of green technology losing hope of being furthered because of lower gas prices. How long does anyone really think this decline will last? OPEC holds the key and we are at their mercy. They just cut 1.5 million barrels in production a day and vow to cut more if prices don't rise again. Instead of spending billions upon billions on bailouts, why don't we instead invest in renewable energy. We have GUARANTEED returns if we do this. I just read a fascinating book by Jeff Wilson called The Manhattan Project of 2009 Energy Independence NOW . I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in seeing our country become energy independent. He has a web site he can explain it better than I .. www.themanhattanprojectof2009.com
