Child Victims Trust Fund

Helping Kentucky's most vulnerable children

CVTF logoThe Child Victims Trust Fund (CVTF) has provided funding for child sexual abuse prevention programs since 1985. From July 1, 2002 - June 30, 2003, the CVTF educated approximately 53,000 children and 8,000 adults including parents, teachers and professionals interacting with abuse victims, and other community members. CVTF also funds a statewide collaborative program called "Promise Not to Tell," which broadcasts a 3-part video presentation and provides information binders to teachers on the nature of child sexual abuse, how to identify indicators, how to handle disclosures, legal reporting responsibilities and how an investigation proceeds through the system. And, finally, CVTF has provided reimbursements for 1,775 child sexual exams across the state.
