The City Council uses the Legislative Information Portal (Legistar) to keep track of legislation and meetings. This on-line service features full text search of legislation, bill status, dates, actions, and attachments. There is also a calendar of City Council and Council Committee meetings, with agendas and action summaries attached.

Other public meetings are not listed on this site. For information about the Environmental Planning Commission (EPC)or the Design Review Board (DRB), please visit the Planning Department website.

Note: This on-line service is best viewed with Internet Explorer (Version5.5 or later). Please contact the City Council office at (505) 768-3100 if you have trouble finding what you are looking for. 

To view and print the text of a bill:

1. Go to the Legislative Information Portal (Legistar).
2. Type in the complete bill number (ie. O-05-151) or any key words.
3. Specify what year the bill is from in the Date field or select All, then click Search Legislation.
4. Once you have found the bill, click on the File # link to go to the file.
5. When you open the file, you will see Attachments listed. Select the attachment with a suffix of .doc to download the Word file of the bill.

To view all bills adopted on a specific date (and print the final version text of each adopted bill):

1. Go to the Legislative Information Portal (Legistar).
2. Click Advanced>>.
3. In the Final Action Date field enter the specific date using mm/dd/yy (for example: 06/19/06).
4. Then click on Search Legislation.
5. A list of all legislation adopted on the specified date will appear on your screen. You can then click on the File ID link to go to each file.
6. In the file, you will see Attachments listed. Select the attachment having the word "final" in the document name. This will then download the Word file of the final version of the bill.

Note: The final versions of adopted bills are available in Legistar 7-10 days following each Council meeting when the bill was adopted.

Please note that Official Copies must still be obtained from the City Clerk's Office, 768-3030.

To view and print the history of a bill, which includes voting details:

1. Go to the Legislative Information Portal (Legistar).
2. Type in the complete bill number (ie. O-05-151) or any key words.
3. Specify what year the bill is from in the Date field or select All, then click Search Legislation.
4. Once you have found the bill, click on the File # link to go to the file.
5. On this page, you will see the Legislative History.

To view the City Council Meetings Calendar, and obtain agendas and action summaries for each meeting:

1. Go to the Legislative Information Portal (Legistar).
2. Click on the Calendar tab.
3. Meetings for the current year will appear. If you would like to view a prior year, select the year you would like to view.
4. When you see the meeting you would like to view, look to the right of the page and the available reports will be posted.

Note:  Meeting agendas are usually posted 48 hours prior to the meeting date.
