Caliente Contest
Phil praised the comedy "Yes
Man" in this week's Caliente as a
Jim Carrey comeback. Carrey has
experienced some growing pains
over the last decade or so with
stinkers such as "The Number
23" and "Fun with Dick and Jane."

Of course, these flops stand as
masterpieces when compared to
some of his early roles. Films like
"Earth Girls Are Easy" where
Carrey played one of three aliens
who land on Earth and end up
befriending a young woman
played by Geena Davis.

Jeff Goldblum, who played one of
the other aliens, would eventually
go on to play Dr. Ian Malcolm in
"Jurassic Park" and its sequel
"The Lost World: Jurassic Park."

Name the island Malcolm travels
to in the second film. Those who
answer correctly will have a
chance to win a childrens
Christmas DVD or a Christmas
music CD.

Find out what the Star's TV junkies think of your favorite shows including "The Office," "Heroes," "Prison Break" and more, plus the latest news from the small screen.

Some random thoughts about last night’s season premiere of “Prison Break”:
—Whoooo-hooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! It’s back!
—Dominic Purcell needs to spend the rest of the season with the first three buttons on his shirt undone.
—William Fichtner is going to be the best actor on any show this season. He’s brooding, enigmatic and a little scary as the FBI man waiting for the clan to cross state lines and make this a federal case. Add in the reliance on those pills he’s hiding in that pen and I think I smell Emmy!
—Props have to go to the makeup and costume departments for keeping the hairstyles and clothes the same as last season. After all, it’s only been a few hours in TV time since we last saw our escapees. I hope they’re not wearing the same clothes they had on when they filmed the season finale. That would be one rancid sextet.
—RIP Veronica. I shall mourn you for the rest of the show’s run.
—Where’s the shady agent/right-hand man to the now-President? As played by Paul Adelstein, he was perfect. I looked on IMDB and Adelstein doesn’t have anything else lined up. I hope we see him soon.
—Were you as happy as I was that T-Bag wasn’t there when the group came upon the little girl in the woods? For those of you who don’t know, T-Bag went to jail for statutory rape.
—I’m loving the “Fugitive” vibe I got from the premiere.
—Don’t call me between 7 and 8 on Mondays.

  1. Kellerman will be in this mondays episode “Scan” he’ll be keeping an eye on Dr. Tancredi =)
