Primary Responsibilities

Proactively sell the Soccer United Marketing online ad network including 50 of the top soccer sites to potential online partners: The critical component of this function is to generate revenue for SUM properties through online sponsorship.

Maximize advertising revenue by managing and building strategic relationships with online advertising agencies, SUM corporate partners and leading online advertisers.

Work in tandem with the Business Development group to create relationships with major U.S. corporations as-well-as major media and advertising agencies: In addition to selling directly to clients, a successful candidate will also create meaningful relationships with the major advertising agencies (inclusive of Hispanic clients) in the United States.

Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree a minimum
  • 1-2 years of online advertising sales experience
  • Extensive understanding of advertising sales and online marketplace
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills (PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability and passion to sell online media
  • Creative thinker
  • Eagerness to mine new business (cold calling, research, etc.)
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to multitask
  • Candidate must be willing to travel
  • Passion for sports is a must and knowledge of soccer is a plus
  • Online agency relationships (media buying/planning) needed; client relationships a plus
