Konami continues the Japanese national baseball obsession with its second PS2 "Live Coverage" title of 2000, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 7 Kettaiban. Though similar to Yakyuu 7 from earlier in the year, Kettaiban boasts updated rosters and new players from the aftermath of a busy trading season. In all other respects, the game is almost identical to its earlier cousin, though, with super deformed pitchers and batters and a refined cursor placement system that determines where pitches land and where batters can strike. Released only in Japan.
