In this time of booming technology, when cell-phones can be found in the remote corners of the world, and children are logging on to the internet before their out of diapers, there is no mistaking the world’s need to stay connected. The Connected Vodaphone building in the Sponsor Village is set up show America’s Cup visitors how Vodaphone is keeping sailing fans tuned in to racing no matter where in the world they are.
Visitors can have their picture taken with one of the company’s new phones, and then have it e-mailed to them right from the phone, a souvenir for when they log on back home.
At another station you can follow the races right in the palm of your hand with Vodaphone’s 3D Live Sailing, where you can also watch past races. During races, cushy bean bag chairs make for a prime vantage point for watching two televisions that play the races live. While lounging and soaking in the sweet air conditioning, play a round of America’s Cup trivia for a chance to take home prizes.
