Man sought in city's 70th homicide of 2008

Toronto Police are on the hunt for a man in his 20s in connection with the city's 70th homicide victim of 2008.CTV reported yesterday evening that 47-year-old Kirk Gomez was the man found dead inside an apartment at 1021 Birchmount Rd. in Scarborough shortly before 10 a.m. on Christmas Day and that police say they are looking for a suspect believed to be in his 20s.  From Print Edition, 27/12/08


Police make arrest in city's 70th homicide of 2008

Toronto Police have arrested a man in his late 20s in connection with the city's 70th homicide of 2008.Last night, police revealed that 49-year-old Kurt Gonsalves was the man found dead inside an apartment at 1021 Birchmount Rd. in Scarborough shortly after 9 a.m. on Christmas Day. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was trauma to the face, according to a police statement.  From Print Edition, 27/12/08
