Neil Redfearn is set to join Leeds United's Academy as part of a re-structuring plan implemented by the club.

Current under-18s coach Daral Pugh will become Assistant Academy manager and will work with all ages from 9-16 while Redfearn will take on the job as under-18s coach.

Redfearn, who made over 1000 appearances in the Football League and boasts a wealth of experience, is currently assistant manager at York City, but he will bid farewell to the MInstermen on New Year's Day before taking up his post at Leeds United on Friday.

"We've been looking at things and have re-structured slightly," explained Academy manager Neil Thompson.

"Daral will have a wider scope in his role with all ages from under-9 to under-16 while Neil joins us to take on the under-18s."
