Russian titleholders FC Rubin Kazan have signed left-sided FC Moskva midfielder Petr Bystrov at the start of a year in which they will make their UEFA Champions League debut.

International experience
Bystrov, 29, has signed a three-year contract, having spent the same length at time with Moskva following spells at FC Lokomotiv Nizhni Novgorod, FC Dinamo Moskva and FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast. Capped twice by Russia while with Saturn in 2003, Bystrov has the experience of 233 top-flight appearances. Rubin clinched their first Premier-Liga crown in 2008, meaning they will go straight into the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League group stage. They begin their domestic title defence in March.
