Of all places to set up home, Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson have set their sights on Dubai! While Dubai is a great cosmopolitan city, with lots of glitz and plenty of glamour, it is not exactly the kind of place that would welcome – let alone  tolerate – same sex relationships. Which begs the questions, why would the two 'lovebirds' consider Dubai to set up their love nest?

But, obviously they have not thought the whole deal through as Lilo and Sam have reportedly already fallen in love with their dream home that cost almost $3 million.

While that actually makes good financial sense, it is however overshadowed by a long list of frivolous reasons for choosing Dubai, which includes:- they like the tacky glitziness, Lindsay loves being out in the sun and there are not too many paparazzi around to hound them!

It’s not clear if John and Kelly were at home when Jett was found in the bathroom.

Our hearts go out to our favourite actor John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston. The couple’s teenage son, Jett, died in the Bahamas yesterday.

The family was vacationing at the family’s home in the Old Bahama Bay resort community. A house caretaker found Jett, 16, unconscious in a bathroom late Friday morning. He was taken by ambulance to a Freeport hospital, where he was pronounced dead, local police said in a statement. Police believe Jett had a seizure and hit his head on the bathtub.

Jett, who was last seen entering the bathroom on Thursday, has had a history of seizures. Kelly Preston has said in interviews that Jett became sick when he was two years old and was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, an illness that leads to inflammation f the blood vessels in young children.

It’s unclear if Jett was on any anti-seizure medication but Kelly once told People magazine that he was on a detoxification program based on the teachings from the Church of Scientology.

Jett is the oldest child of John and Kelly, who also have an eight-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu.

To look her Fergilicious best for her upcoming wedding to hottie Josh Duhamel on 10 January, singer Fergie is working out 24/7 to tighten and tone her already sizzling hot bod.

Fergie, who was forced to gain weight for her role in the upcoming movie, Nine, says losing that extra pound has been an uphill battle. “It’s hard. I’ve been working out every day. It’s been a lot of hiking and sit-ups. I’ve been working my butt off while trying to maintain a healthy diet,” she said just before her New Year’s Eve concert in Las Vegas at The Venetian.

Hey Paris, you know that person who nicked your jewelry last month? We think he was in Tobago a few days ago!

Okay, maybe it’s not the same person but we’re hearing the same story. This time around it’s Queen Latifah who has a few baubles less to take home. The singer/actress was in Tobago on vacation when thieves walked away with over US$10,000 in jewelry from her luxury US$1,000-per-night Stone Haven Villas in Black Rock, Tobago.

Queen Latifah had gone with a friend for a barbecue brunch held in her honour by the hotel management. Upon her return, she found a bracelet, two gold rings, a gold chain and a silver ring missing. Police, who were informed immediately, believe it’s an inside job and are currently investigating the matter.

What were you doing when the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve? If you asked singer Pink the question, she’d tell you that she spent it with her ex-hubby Carey Hart.

Nope, the couple ain’t back together again, yet. But if Pink had her way, they would be. Pink says she isn’t giving up on her relationship with Carey, a motocross star.

The couple and a few of Carey’s friends were in Carey’s club in Las Vegas to ring in the New Year, but according to sources at the party when the clock struck midnight, Carey and Pink didn’t kiss. “They talked, but not much. At midnight Carey grabbed her and took her up on stage and introduced her,” a friend said. “They’re still friends, but it’s going to take longer than a night to become more than friends again,” said another friend at the party.

Later, Carey escorted Pink too the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel where she had a half hour performance. Friends close to the So What hitmaker say she’s not over Carey yet. In fact in a recent interview, Pink admitted she’s not interested in dating any other men because she still has feelings for Carey.

Let’s hope the New Year will see things changing for the better for Pink and Carey.

Relating his past experience on Twilight, Rob claims he couldn't bring out his emotions due to the uncomfortable lens. "It was like I constantly had sand in my eyes. I was wearing them for three months constantly and my eyes never ever accepted them! It took me 20 minutes per eye every single day and I ended up having to literally fold it into my eyeball."

Poor Rob. Those gorgeous-looking lens must really hurt. "It was frustrating as well because normally your eyes are saying something, but if you've got two orange blobs in your face, it's so annoying!" "The director (Catherine Hardwicke) would say, 'Look at her (Kristen Stewart) like you love her,' and I'd be like, 'I'm trying!' "

This year promises to be a great year for us as we are taking on a new challenge. We’re revamping the magazine. Long-time readers of the magazine have seen us grow from a newsprint black and white mag to a full-colour, 60-paged glossy magazine. We have gone from publishing news agency-bought stories to personally interviewing A-lists actors and singers including Britney Spears, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Jack Black, Leonardo DiCaprio, the cast of Heroes, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and more.

Galaxie has gone through a few revamps but this year we’re planning for major reconstructive surgery. In order to devote our time and energy to the revamp, there will not be any publication of the magazine until our big reveal in April.
