New Fire Department Profile Managers & General FAQ

  • How Can I Find If My Department is Listed?
    To search for your department,
Click here, select your state and search for your department. More than 30,000 are listed, sorted by state and county.

  • And What Do I Do If Its Not?
If its not listed, please e-mail us the department name, county (or jurisdiction) and state. This will merely add your site if we determine its not listed. You must follow the instructions below if you want to become the site manager.

  • What Do I need To Do To Become the Manager for My Department
First, you'll need at least a basic (free) userid in the Firehouse.com registration system. You can get this within minutes by clicking here. Then, fax us your request on department letterhead to (240) 437-0250 with a subject of 'Firehouse Network Manager Request'. The letter should briefly include your department name, county (jurisdiction), state, your name, rank, Firehouse.com userid, e-mail address and at least one contact phone number. You'll be approved within three business days and receive an email once your userid has been tied to the department(s) requested with further instructions on logging in described below. To ensure the strict nature of the data being presented, e-mail requests are NOT taken for anyone else other than those previously assigned as managers for Fire-EMS Information Network sites. If you have any questions, please e-mail us.

  • What is My Department's Profile Web Site Address?
Your URL will like http://departments.firehouse.com/dept/CollegeParkMD. The 'HOME' tab of an individual department is the main gateway to that department's profile and will be the main URL of the site. The interior pages should not be bookmarked, only the main entry page.

  • OK, I'm the Manager Now. How Do I Edit My Department?
Once you are logged in at our USA Network page (or any page with a red login box), a link will appear called "Edit My Department" if you are assigned as a manager of any department(s). Just click that link to get started, then go to each tab to edit the information for the department.

  • My Station is Part of a Larger Department, What Can I Do?
Individual stations are listed with their primary department, including Web site links. If your station is part of a larger department, you must be the Department's manager. In the future, we may permit individual managers of stations.

Former Fire-EMS Network Department Managers

Firehouse.com is pleased to transfer your existing site over to our new, more robust and technologically advanced system.

Your web site should be automatically redirecting to your new site on the Firehouse Network. If it is not, please contact us with your department name and web site address.

Some data did not transfer over and is still being developed. We'll be adding Memorial pages soon, as well as enhanced news to include images with news and headlines on the front page of your fire department's profile page.

On or about May 6-7, existing managers will receive an email with a new userid in our MembersZone basic registration system, which will be tied to their department. See instructions below for editing your page. If you did not receive that email, please e-mail us with your department name, state and your Firehouse.com userid to become manager
