- nerdsftw, on 01/06/2009, -0/+4I saw it once in at IMAX -- it was totally packed on a Sunday night after being out for weeks. I want to see it at least once more. It was stunning.

FYI the people behind Sham Wow are the same people behind the Catholic religion. Same exact scam
- antdude, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3Too bad not the whole movie isn't in IMAX. Only some scenes.
- Ac1dburn, on 01/06/2009, -1/+27I can't wait to see Watchmen in IMAX
- xaxxon, on 01/07/2009, -2/+3You don't even know if it sucks.
- EatChex89, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2I saw the preview for it when I saw "The Day the Earth Stood Still" in IMAX and I can't wait to watch it either . . . . in IMAX!
- seldon452, 23 hr 52 min ago, -0/+2Yeah, Jons massive blue balls are gonna be awesome...
- ObiNguyen, 5 hr 31 min ago, -2/+11Avatar, definitely.
- andrewlotta, on 01/07/2009, -1/+9I really hope it lives up to the hype.
If it does, I predict it will beat TDK's box office numbers (definitely in the top 5). Without a doubt it will be the biggest film of the decade.- solid12345, on 01/07/2009, -1/+1You seriously think so, when was the last time a sci-fi film smashed records?
- andrewlotta, 18 hr 55 min ago, -0/+4When was the last time James Cameron released a film?
Oh yeah, in 1997 (twelve years ago if you can't subtract), and it was the highest grossing film of all time.
- elister, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3Yeah, lets hope this has any of the class of Aliens or Terminator.
- solid12345, on 01/07/2009, -1/+1I would appreciate if Avatar even had any hype to go off of, no footage, no photos, nothing. Could be a giant sock floating in space for all we know.
- andrewlotta, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2Except it's been in production for 19 years, James Cameron's name is attached to it (he wrote, produced, and directed it), and he is using filming effects and techniques never before used to make a movie, no film has been in post-production longer, and James Horner is scoring the film.
Come on now. This just may be the biggest sci-fi film ever.

- whazdown, on 01/07/2009, -11/+5...Harry Potter? Seriously? The books are great, the films are tragically bad.
- Alegoo92, on 01/07/2009, -1/+1The Order of the Phoenix was bad, the others I all liked.
- everack, on 01/07/2009, -0/+0Great, seems those movies are very good.
- souljaboytellem, on 01/07/2009, -1/+2Yes, I also give generic comments
- cJw314, on 01/07/2009, -2/+1You also have a ghey ass name and a personal vendetta against periods, apparently.
- souljaboytellem, on 01/07/2009, -1/+1Oh I'm sorry, I forgot the period and forgot how cool of a name cJw314 was, I apologize with all my "ghey" heart
- cJw314, on 01/07/2009, -3/+2I didn't claim my name was better, only that yours sucked... YO.
- souljaboytellem, on 01/07/2009, -1/+2Yes, I also give generic comments
- DuffyDirect, on 01/07/2009, -4/+4i was disappointed with imax, i was expecting something way more impressive instead it was just, i don't know, a large movie theater.
- cJw314, on 01/07/2009, -2/+2Were your ears plugged?
- SolCheetah, 23 hr 35 min ago, -1/+1Mine usually are when I see a movie. Given that I need earplugs rated at about 20 decibel sound reduction to get to a comfortable, normal sound level in a movie, I'd say it's about 20 decibels too loud.
- dandonia, on 01/07/2009, -1/+15http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v88/00AGoodMan/t ...
Say's it all really. I don't know about you but I like to see the whole movie not just part of the screen.- MRintheKeys, 9 hr 52 min ago, -1/+1Yeah, thank god. Now that I can see the guy in the front's shirt underneath his jacket, it really helps flesh out his character a little more. Plus those extra windows on the top of the wall behind him really adds an extra dimension.
- Elranzer, 9 hr 28 min ago, -0/+3You see the whole screen... if it was shot with special IMAX film. If it was shot in regular 35mm, then a standard theater will show the whole film.
People seem to forget that IMAX is not just a bigger screen, but its own (proprietary) film format. - dandonia, 2 hr 34 min ago, -0/+1MRinthekeys
I suppose you wouldn't be that bothered if someone covered a few inches of your screen at each side - at least you can see the main bit in the middle right? ***** that man, I want to see the lot - the way the developer shot the movie not the way my local cinema can be bothered to display it.
It made me laugh in the cinema when that advert for piracy came on and it showed how you often get part of the image cut off - then it opened with the clown scene where half of the image is cut off compared to imax.
- MRintheKeys, 9 hr 52 min ago, -1/+1Yeah, thank god. Now that I can see the guy in the front's shirt underneath his jacket, it really helps flesh out his character a little more. Plus those extra windows on the top of the wall behind him really adds an extra dimension.
- cJw314, on 01/07/2009, -2/+2Were your ears plugged?
- SuperJimmyJimbo, on 01/07/2009, -5/+5I was kinda disappointed in dark knight imax. Sure, the 20 min of real 70mm footage was amazing, but the rest of it blown up to that size just made it look buzzed.
- ScubaSt3ve, on 01/07/2009, -5/+20IMAX...whatever - just sit on first row and you'll get IMAX every singly time
- GerudoX, on 01/07/2009, -2/+1Actually I went to a theater the weekend Dark Knight came out and got "stuck" on almost the front row and it really was like the IMAX. It was the largest screen in the theater they were showing at, my chest rumbled every time Batman spoke too, added bonus.
- solid12345, on 01/07/2009, -1/+1I saw Star Wars: The Phantom Menace opening night and the only seat left was up front, my neck hurt for 2 days afterward.
- mysedai, 2 hr 10 min ago, -0/+1Except the sound in the front row is crap every singly time.
- stufflebean, on 01/07/2009, -1/+11I saw Batman Begins in IMAX and I actually thought it was too big. There are a few shaky-cam fight scenes which, while they didn't make me nauseated or anything, were just too hard to follow. I was in the middle of the theater too, not right down in front. I think films with a slower pace lend themselves better to the IMAX format, since you have time to take in everything on the massive screen.
- shlemielo, on 01/07/2009, -1/+7I found the fight scenes hard to follow even on a regular screen. That's just how Nolan chooses to direct his action.
- H0tKarl, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7It's the latest film trend. It's easier to shake and pan the camera around than it is to properly choreograph a fight scene or car chase. In 20 years it will probably be laughed at, as audiences wise up.
- shlemielo, on 01/07/2009, -1/+7I found the fight scenes hard to follow even on a regular screen. That's just how Nolan chooses to direct his action.
- saiftk, on 01/07/2009, -1/+5Jim Carrey is awesome
- syntaxgs, on 01/07/2009, -3/+3Dark Night was one of tHE SWEETEST movis of 2008 i Wouldn't Be suprised if It is the best movie of 2009 too Just because it was so good i bet nothing Will top it this Year.
- syntaxgs, on 01/07/2009, -1/+5i mean knight,,, -,-;;;
- dunmasterkane, 23 hr 56 min ago, -0/+4Wait... doesn't digg allow 5 minutes for post editing? Why did you post twice?

- trispear, on 01/07/2009, -0/+9I saw Dark Knight Imax in summer and then in a normal theatre. The second time was such a let-down. This movie is made for Imax. Forget the DVD, and watch it how it's meant to be seen when it gets re-released while there is still a chance.
- MindTrigger, on 01/07/2009, -1/+7I don't know.... I love IMAX and all, but sometimes watching movies where you have to turn your head left and then right to see each eye on someone's head kinda sucks. There are times when the bigscreen hdtv + blu-ray release is worth waiting for.
- veriix, on 01/07/2009, -3/+4I liked the part with the big screen!
Seriously though, imax is quite overrated.- bpeacock22, 7 hr 37 min ago, -1/+1I agree. We just got a feature film IMAX here (the science museum one wouldn't show movies) and I've been to 3-4. They advertise movies as the IMAX version, but you get there and the movie is letterboxed on the screen, meaning it is not really IMAX. In fact, the only thing I've seen actually shot that way were the scenes in Dark Knight. They charge $13.00 (+$1 for 3D +$1 for Friday night) and all you are seeing is the same movie a little bit bigger. We aren't digital yet either so there's always annoying film trash on the screen. I'll stick to the digital theater here; then if something is TRULY shot in IMAX (like Harry Potter scenes appear to be), I'll go see it again.
- manray, on 01/07/2009, -2/+4As a passionate fan of documentary storytelling in the IMAX format, which was what IMAX used to be exclusively used for, it's sad to see that it's changed to a format of commercial Hollywood action flicks.
- H0tKarl, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8I wish they'd start filming entire movies in IMAX.
- veriix, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6Like a film telling the story of sexy teens getting locked in the IMAX?
the IMAX is haunted and the black guy dies (spoiler)
- veriix, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6Like a film telling the story of sexy teens getting locked in the IMAX?
- brainboy77, on 01/07/2009, -1/+3I wish someone would actually tell me what the ***** watchmen is about. the trailer looked sweet but i have no ***** idea what the movie is about
- plague, on 01/07/2009, -1/+3Read the graphic novel, you won't be disappointed.
- edwintait, on 01/07/2009, -1/+2ummm...he might be if he is expecting it to be action packed, like the trailers have made it out to be
- h4ppydotcom, 15 hr 5 min ago, -0/+2Google is your friend
- plague, on 01/07/2009, -1/+3Read the graphic novel, you won't be disappointed.
- Stikes, on 01/07/2009, -2/+4Is it just me or do IMAX movies look like crap because of the resolution vs screen size? Last one I went to looked like they stretched out a regular projector over too big of a screen and let Michael J Fox hold it.
- gcabs2000, 23 hr 52 min ago, -1/+1For those of you just tuning in Michael J. Fox has Parkinson's disease. That's why he has shaky hands... CAPTAIN OBVIOUS AWWWAAaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy!!!!...........
- dagamer34, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2I'd really like to see an entire movie in IMAX, but it'd cost WAY too much. It's a shame too.
- CLTchey, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2I like Potter...
- Skishy101, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3What? Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen came out June 26, 2008!?! I missed it? This is an outrage!
- xmike07, on 01/07/2009, -1/+1Dragonball!
- pianonotes1010, 23 hr 48 min ago, -0/+1I hope they come to the dome in Tampa.
- Yambag, 23 hr 41 min ago, -2/+1I'd watch under the sea, but I hate Jim Carrey, mostly because of him and his wife's anti vaccination stance.
- avatar28, 23 hr 31 min ago, -0/+2I am seriously surprised that there hasn't been some sort of digital IMAX format released yet. I doubt the camera equipment would be all that much more expensive than a regular IMAX camera (projectors would be astronomical though) and I would fully expect that it would be easier and cheaper to shoot more footage at a time than is possible with a standard IMAX camera. If IMAX really wants to push their format for normal movies, that is what they need to do. IMAX is to normal cinema film as Blu Ray is to DVD.
- uruururr, 23 hr 14 min ago, -1/+1am i the only dork who enjoys the educational imax movies more than the hollywood films with imax releases?
- vtowner, 23 hr 12 min ago, -1/+1Can someone explain to me what IMAX is? Is it just a bigger screen? I really don't know.
- zosoIV, 22 hr 50 min ago, -1/+1Maybe it's just me, but a regular theater is just fine. When I see something in IMAX, I'm required to move my neck/head to watch the film. It's too much for me..
- latingirl, 22 hr 28 min ago, -0/+2I for one can't wait until Watchmen comes out on IMAX. I just hope the release is not delayed.
- vashth3stampede, 22 hr 26 min ago, -1/+1i really cannot wait for transformers.
...really, is "the fallen" a term for a group of fallen transformers, or is it actually referring to the transformer known as The Fallen?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fallen_(Transform ...- vashth3stampede, 22 hr ago, -1/+1EDIT/***SPOILER***: it appears that the Fallen will be in the movie after re-reading the wiki article on him and the movie...could still be fake info released by Michael Bay, though...
- madcaps1980, 21 hr 34 min ago, -0/+2Dark Knight was great in IMAX but 300 in IMAX was amazing.
