Coolio's Bio

Rapper Coolio is best known for his single Gangsta's Paradise which featured in the film Dangerous Minds. Gangsta's Paradise is also his favourite song. Narcissism anybody?

Since then he has appeared in Friends spin-off Joey and as a cartoon character in Futurama. He hopes that there will be somebody in the House that he is attracted to and is attracted to him so that he "might get some".

He doesn't want there to be any "ugly chicks" in the House and also confesses to a great love of food. But will he manage to cook up a winning plan?

He says he knows nothing about Big Brother, other than he knows there are people in a house that have to live together and sometimes you have to do competitions to win food.

His favourite foods are chicken, cheese and shrimp.

He says he is in the list of top 10 lovers.

He thinks he is going to be the coolest housemate as he knows how to cook, clean, sew, do plumbing and paint.

His children, his job and women make him happy. The things that make him angry are people who lie, and taxes.

The person he most admires is Barack Obama.

His main concern about going in to the house is his fear of boredom.

He says if he has to deal with conflict in the house, he will use the three C's cool, calm and collected to deal with it.

  2. I really think Channel 4 need to call time on Coolio. Whilst conflict can make for interesting TV there is a tiping point. With this in mind, and the incidents that have happened in this and past series, they should construct a space that removes confrontational people temporarily and if it continues they should then be removed or put up for a eviction. What I find equally sad is the feeling that any woman who appears on this programme is immediately at a disadvantage. The tiresome booing of the crowd which used to only exist for those who had actually done something that warranted booing is ridiculous. Whilst Endemol will never run short of non-celebrities willing to enter the house, it appears they struggled to get people on board after "Shilpa-gate", this was a chance to get it back on track but, once again, they've shot themselves in the foot.

  6. I think Coolio is a good guy. He speaks his mind and he's opinionated, great. What you see is what you get. No hidden agenda there. I hope he wins. He kinda cute to so I hope he stays until the end. You need an animated character and he is. Incidentally, this is the first Big Brother I have ever watched and would probably watch future celeb B.B.

  16. Celebrity Big brother is about putting celebs in a confined house that they won't be able to leave til they are evicted. The people at Big brother want celebs to clash with each other so that can get better ratings and something to entertain the public. So what's this nonsense I hear about bullying? That's complete rubbish! His just speaking his mind to the housemates and what? He suddenly gets critisized as a bully!? It's unfair that he is victimized repeatedly. Celebrity big brother is a chance to watch celebrities in a compact environment where personalities are going to crash at some point, so all of this fuss over Coolio being a bully is a lot of rubbish. I love Coolio as he is a great house mate to watch and makes great TV. People need to stop their moaning and realise that it is Michelle that is being the cry baby, who does tend to do my head in. However, when she is not playing up to all the other house mates and making Coolio look like a bad person she is a quite nice person herself but she just needs to grow up because if her relationship is going well she shouldn't have anything to worry about as relationships are about trusting eachother. Coolio is one of the best celebrities to come on big brother. COOLIO TO WIN..HE DESERVES IT!!!

He was just playing with the girl and having a laugh and because she DOES have feelings for Ben, she was crying like a baby because he pointed out the obvious.   84. I happen to like this man in a strange kinda way....yes he is a bit of a bully, and a little too much to take, but he is actually very quick witted. My fave moment has to be when he was acting as Vern and he was driving around on his scooter......then he did the little minnie me/DR evil thing.   88. Why can't you get Coolio & Terry's History Show online???? It was brilliant - everyone i've told about it wants to see it - C's idea for a lecture tour and tv series must be a winner! Seriously though - get the Entire History of Mankind by Terr and Coolio online - it'll get more hits than Tina in a Tutu - real entertainment, three inteligent blokes discussing the background to history, and genuinely interesting asking provoking questions. CBB is really keen to make the houusemates look fools - let's see a bit of the other side too!

  91. Judging by the number of comments on here, love him or hate him, he's the most controversial housemate this year. May be even go so far as to say, EVER!!! I love COOLIO, he and Terry are the most unique in there. Also loving Terry and Coolio's late night chats very entertaing and educating. I think the other housemates need to take a chill pill. I reckon they can't handle the fact that he's the most entertaining and it makes them look boring. Coolio's got the most going for him so far as entertainment, and then he has this really sensitive and caring side. When he tried to show Ulrika support she sort of shunned him...rude! Everyone who writes in saying he's; annoying, irritating etc. etc. need to realise that it's him who's making the show worth watching. Even the housemates have told Michelle that she's taking him too seriously...there you go. I've heard all of those housemates who have been patronising and rude about him say they have a soft spot for him and that he is not malicious. So how can viewers get so uptight about him. COOLIO 2 WIN !!! Don't change a thing about yourself, "cuz". If people don't get you, that's their problem. As you can see from the comments, loads of us love ya. Terry is great too so wouldn't mind if he won but should def be 2nd after Coolio. Loving Vern too. The women (except La Toya, who's another example of how mild mannered and sweet the Jacksons are) this year are pretty annoying, pretty boring mostly and can be quite nasty too.   205. Coolio's is a real Entertainer plus his English accent isn't bad, its actually pretty good. i think he should be given a permanent show on C4. They should have him doin a friday night sketch show with Dom Joly or Leigh Francis. short comedy scenes playing all different types of characters, maybe have Verne in it too. Love to see him do a Star Wars Parody playin Darth Vader proper Dic Tator Ship.

  208. Well done for putting Coolio in the house. These are his best bits so far: 1. The drive-by shooting (of water) where he straddles Verne and gets Verne to drive him around in his scooter as he splashes water on the housemates (I can't stop laughing at that clip) 2. During the British heritage task where he says out loud "All hail the king". Verne asks "Who is the king?" He replies with a straight face "me". 3. The scene where he is trying to run a protection racket in big brother and asking for money for protection. The housemates ask him "So you want us to pay you money for protection? Protection from what?" and he replies "Me" (HILARIOUS!) 4. Just his facial expression and weird breathing during the aerobics dance task. The short clip they showed as a teaser just before going for an advert break had me laughing so hard I must have been heard a few doors down the road. Of course the teaser clip ensured I remained clued to my sit waiting for the next installment so I would not miss that dance (when normally I don't watch your advert breaks). 5. When he was giving LaToya a manicure and trying to flirt with her (and failing pathetically). 6. MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE CLIP (of Coolio, which I sadly cannot find on your site), is where he is doing the papparazzi task with Lucy and he goes into 'character' saying "I am Jebediah...." or something like that. His fake voice and what he was saying was just so random that it made me burst out laughing (although I did feel sorry for his housemates who have to live with him).
