13-02-2009 08:56 Concerning "Russia can launch ICBMs at minute's notice - missile forces chief" The article goes on to explore in depth the Russian 'order of battle,' as it were. So, what does that mean for the world? It means we are on a hair-trigger alert, with great incentive to launch first to keep from getting caught unawares. Both sides are heavily incentivized to strike first, therefore any anomaly that shows up on some lieutenant's radar screen can start World War Three. In fact, now that there are fewer missles extant now than during the 1970s, it's more critical to get one's missles off first; it's easier to destroy, say, the entire American arsenal now than it was in 1975. So, American commanders will have itchy trigger fingers, Russian commanders will have itchy trigger fingers, and perhaps that holds true for emerging nuclear powers such as China, Iran, North Korea, India, and Pakistan. Soon we can expect Japan to go the nuclear route too, because they're so afr aid of North Korea and China. Germany and Poland might follow suit at some distant point as world nuclear tensions heat up. I think there will be a great war very soon.

09-02-2009 09:52 The article by Andrei Fedyashin on the Russian debt is very, very confusing --- to be charitable! I have been able to determine Russia's Government HAS CLOSE TO NO DEBT. What the article seems to do is to ADD ALL THE CORPORATE DEBT, and compare it to the State reserves. This is not done anywhere in the world! British reserves are currently under 40 billion dollars, that is, one tenth of Russian. British government also carries a large debt, and the total corporate debt is not even known! What Russia is doing is making sense. It is capitalizing several larger banks to refinance debts of Russian corporations, but only if they meet certain criteria. Criteria is public, the companies that may qualify is public, and the cap is public. Russia does not HAVE TO refinance the debts of all corporations that owe large amounts of money to foreign banks. Those companies are free to find refinancing elsewhere. The last place to go and look for capital now is in London!
06-02-2009 09:09 Re: The City fears Russian default - Russia has gold to mine and land to farm, the City has an illusion. Who then,in reality, to put it in the city's terms, has the triple A rating
04-02-2009 14:23 Re. Iran goes into space - Mr. Kyslyakov, it is not what you are commenting about Iran's launching satelite, but the ton of your comment is surprisingly very apologistic and defensive towards the Western power , I suppose, specialy US. Why?? Isn't the same US who is threatening world and killing the innocents in Afghanistan and Iraq under self invented terror pretext and playing the Texan Sharif for the rest of the world everybody who dares to come near the so called "proliferation-problem" And yet the same US piled up the huge Weapon of Mass Destruction of all kinds and used it against innocents in Japan? more of that, isn't the criminal Israel who have 300-400 A-bombs ready to launch against any in Middle East...And kept killing Gazian children? One can not undrestand why you are so apologistic about even for past "Soviets activities" not to mention Iran...Iran as a country, of that matter, any other country have the same right like those above mentioned to develope what is necessary to defend itself against those forementioned wild Wolves who many times and still attacking the innocents and destroying the very basic things of them which they need to live...
23-01-2009 15:01 With regards to the article "The CIA's secret triumph", it seems that the CIA are masters at dividing people and preventing them from communicating with each other without any interference from the CIA.
25-12-2008 11:23 Regarding the Novosti article "Russia to allocate $35.3 billion for arms production in 2009-11" This is sheer misinformation: Russia spends twenty times this amount....most of that cash is spent on secret nuclear stockpiles. Russia has far more warheads and ICBMs than arms limitation agreements allow: Russia has at least ten thousand operational strategic warheads available for first strike use. Russia will soon wipe out America's remaining 2,000 warheads in a sneak attack from hidden missile silos in Cuba, Iran and Venezuela. Thousands of secret Topol-M launchers will be employed to wipe out Western strategic rocket forces in this sneak attack. Iskander missiles will wipe out the Poles, Czechs and Ukrainians. The British and French arsenals will be quickly neutralized via IRBM and SLBM attack. Western cities will burn as our leaders sleep; Western leaders remain foolishly unaware of Putin's plan to attack.
22-12-2008 09:12 With Regards to the article "Russia starts S-300 missile supplies to Iran", I would like to agree that this is a case for peace. Other ways might include getting other countries to increase trade with Iran as a way to increase the cost for the US to go to war with Iran.
22-12-2008 09:10 Response to "U.S., Ukraine to expand defense cooperation": Go ahead, let the U.S. and Western Ukraine and Western-Kiev co-operate all they want. That can only strengthen Russia. Every Russian knows that Eastern Ukraine will always be Russian; so just use the Informal border of the Dniper River as a division between East Ukraine(Russian) and West Ukraine(American) and let Ukraine and Russia prosper together!
27-11-2008 17:00 Response to Russian analyst predicts decline and breakup of U.S.  If Russia is leading the division of the U.S., I'd like to request that the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan U.P, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota be included with the Ontario/Manitoba Territories. Also, while the dollar collapse is obvious, why not create a Russian Platinum Dollar at a Troy Ounce, on par with the U.S. Platinum Eagle. The advantage of this is that the Platinum Eagle has a $100 face value, while the Gold Eagle has a $50 face value, but Platinum is 15 times RARER than gold, and Russia owns Norilsk Nikel and Stilwater Mining, so you guys can controls the U.S. currency using a Platinum Standard.
24-11-2008 08:59 In regards to your article "Soviet officer who 'shot down McCain over Vietnam' speaks out...I don't put much faith in a pilot that can't remember the type of plane he shoots down. McCain flew a single seat A-4, not the much larger 2 seat F-4.
