David Archuleta Speaks-Up For Los Jovenes At D.C. Gala

Despite David Archuleta reaching voting age after the Presidential election in November…

The “Crush” singer was speaking-up for los jovenes with a positive voz at the Latino Inaugural Gala in Washington, D.C. over the weekend. The humble 18-year-old felt honored to be a part of the celebration even though he didn’t form part of the performance line-up, which included Marc Anthony, Lila Downs, Paulina Rubio, and Alejandro Sanz. Imagine if he hit the stage? He would have definitely given Marc’s romantic ballads some (much-needed) competition.

david is amazing and the words he said is completely considerable.. barack obama really did show us the other end of the stick and inspired us in many ways.. thank you david for bringing that up :)

Can't wait for David's tour! Will most difiantly go to one or two shows depending where the venues are. If you have not seen David sing Live, then you have not seen David! He is amazing live, video or Television cannot capture the pure voice of the radiance of this young man the way a live show does!!

Great interview! Even though David was too young to vote this time, it's thrilling to see him be a part of the process. Really looking forward to your solo tour, David. Your supporters are waiting not as patiently as possible for the official tour schedule so we can make our plans.

David is the greatest!!! When you said "Imagine if he hit the stage? He would have definitely given Marc’s romantic ballads some (much-needed) competition." You are so right!

David has a brilliant, very successful career ahead of him. He is also a wonderful human being, a role model to teenagers and adults. David is great representation of successful Hispanics in the USA. Even though he was born in the US, he is very proud of his Hispanic roots and we so proud of David.

Thank you!!! I love David Archuleta and I was so happy that he got to be part of this historic event. His Star Spangled Banner was amazing and he looked fabulous!

And a tour!!! OMG -- I hope we hear something soon! I am dying to see him in concert (and not just on youTube! LOL)

How great that he could represent the latino community so well. He is an inspiration to us all and believes in getting involved and doing good. In another interview he said he wished his mom could be there. She is from Honduras and is a beautiful woman. David's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner was incredible!
