Paul Berger (writer) – Paul Berger is a British freelance journalist based in Brooklyn, N.Y. His articles have appeared in a range of newspapers and magazines, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, Forbes, Movie Maker, and Online Journalism Review. He is also the contributing editor of five books, including "All the Money in the World: How the Forbes 400 Make—and Spend—Their Fortunes" and the New York Times bestseller "Secrets of the Code." He writes a blog, Englishman in New York, at http://pdberger.com.

Randy Bennett (writer) – Randy Bennett leads the Newspaper Association of America's efforts in coordinating cross-platform, audience growth initiatives for the industry.  In addition, he is responsible for NAA’s digital media efforts and the Horizon Watching Initiative, a long-term effort to understand and act on the market forces impacting the newspaper industry over the next 5-7 years. Prior to joining NAA in 1990, Mr. Bennett was director of online services for America Online. He joined Quantum Computer Services (the original company name) in 1986. From 1979-1986, he helped build Knight Ridder Inc.'s pioneering Viewtron service, the first graphics-based online service in the U.S.

A.S. Berman (writer) – A former technology writer and associate editor for NAA’s Presstime magazine, A.S. Berman also served as technology writer for USA TODAY. Currently he is at work on two books: “The New Horror Handbook” and “Soap: The Inside Story of the Sitcom that Broke All the Rules.” He lives in Loveland, Colo.

Sally Clarke (designer/editor) – Sally Clarke coordinates projects for audience and new business development at NAA. She designs and edits reports on digital media, and maintains newsvoyager.com and growingaudience.org. Previously, she was communications analyst for the development information services project of Academy for Educational Development with USAID, supporting the knowledge for development team. A lifetime Arlington resident, she is active in her community and volunteers her event planning and Web skills for organizations including the Girl Scouts, Animal Welfare League and Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment.

Beth Lawton (writer/editor/project director) – Beth Lawton is manager, digital media communications at the Newspaper Association of America. She is editor of the Online Publishing Update and all of NAA’s Digital Edge reports at www.naa.org/digitaledge, and she administrates NAA’s Media Innovation Awards – Digital Edge categories. Beth is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University and of Washington University in St. Louis. She has worked in newsrooms in the Midwest and the Caribbean. She resides in Alexandria, Va.

Deborah Nason (writer) – Deborah Nason writes for national, statewide and regional publications, with a focus on emerging business issues. Over the past several years, she has developed an expertise in both the investment and newspaper industries. Deborah relocated to Connecticut two years ago, after serving as contributing editor and lead writer for five years for the Blue Ridge Business Journal in Roanoke, Virginia. During the course of her varied career, she has owned several small businesses and has lived in different parts of the U.S. She has a Masters degree in Management and Human Resource Development. She serves on the board of the New York chapter of the American Society of Business Publication Editors, and is active in the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists, and the Society of Business Editors and Writers.
