Zac Efron is an American actor. He was born in San Luis Obispo, California on October 18, 1987 to David Efron and Starla Baskett. One day Zac went on a road trip and his parents turned the radio on and Zac began singing along. His parents then asked him "Zac would you like to think about maybe taking piano lessons?" He then responded, "no way that's stupid." They then asked him if he thought he was musical and he responded: "not really." Zac then flipped on his Gameboy and that was the end of it. Years later when he was eleven he told his parents he didn't want to play another season of baseball. So, they gave him the option to take piano lessons instead. His piano teacher later encouraged him to try out for a role in a play called Gypsy, which ran for 90 performances. After he landed the role he got roles in the plays Once Upon a Mattress, Peter Pan, The Music Man, Mame, and Little Shop Of Horrors.

His middle school drama teacher, Robyn Metchik realized his potential and contacted an agent friend who got Zac several guest roles and pilots on television. Efron made his television debut on Firefly playing a young Dr. Simon Tam in a flashback. He then got a recurring guest role on the hit WB show Summerland as Cameron the love interest of Nikki Westerly. The next season he became a series regular however since the show got moved to midseason with little promotion a lot of fans became confused at when it was on and the show was canceled.

He then starred in the Lifetime movie called Miracle Run for which he garnered critical acclaim. He then filmed The Derby Stallion however the movie had trouble finding a distributor so the movie was released on DVD in June 2007. He then starred in the mega-hit TV movie High School Musical which was viewed by 38 million viewers in the United States alone. However, many people became confused at what he sang in High School Musical when Zac revealed that some of the lyrics have had his voice blended with a singer named Andrew Seeley. Zac sang all the songs himself with the exceptions of Get'cha Head in the Game, which Andrew Seeley mostly did himself and Breaking Free, in which Zac sang the first verse and had his voice blended with Andrew's for some lines through out the rest of the song. The official reasons given were Zac was coming out of puberty and had trouble with the high notes and when blended with Andrew's voice Zac sounded better singing with Vanessa. However, many have speculated that Andrew Seeley would only sell the song Get'cha Head in the Game to Disney if he got to sing it and got one other song credit. It should be noted that Andrew Seeley has not written any songs that will be used in High School Musical 2 and will not be doing any singing in the movie. zac efron is sooo wow, but she totally puts himself down by seeing vanessa hudgens. he could get a way prettier, nicer girl than that thing. his acting is really good and he has the best eyes ever. i am sure that zac will have a good career and will do well. i certainly would like to see more of him. he was the real star of hairspray and high school musical and i think that he should move onto something bigger with bigger stars. i also think that he is decent with respect for his body because he turned down the oppertunity to take over daniel radcliffe's naked role on stage, and i think that shows class. you rock zac x

He has talent and charisma.His work with disney is just the start for this young gentleman he will land other huge roles in movies and could wind up as big as Brad Pitt and Mark Whalberg .I will admit that some teen stars have trouble when they get older but I dont forsee him having this problem .I would like to see him extend his acting to more of a variety and really see him get a test run with a major role in an action or thriller movie . Additionally he has that heartthrob thing working for him that gives him a following amongst women .He could have lots of success just doing roles in 'chick' flicks

First off I don't like him in any of his High School Musical movies he is sort of cheesey in thoose ovies, but I loved L-O-V-E-D the movie Hairspray he was my 3d fav. Charecter he snatched that roll of Link Larrkin so good but Amanda Bines stole the show sorry. In my opinion Disney Channel sometimes over produces him like Zac Efron on ..... The Suite Life then they hipe up over one shorter then 22 minute show. Overall a desent actor and I am very anxios to see his movie remake of FootLoose He will rock it.

Ive heard many people say that Zac is very vain and gets all worked out over 1 pimple. well, im not sure if thats true, but gah.
Acting: I can see that it has improved tremendously since HSM 1. I used to hate him but after seeing him in hairspray i gave him a second chance. I tried liking him and now, i really love him.
Singing: I always thought he had that talent. I really love his voice. too bad he doesnt have his own album
Others: He can dance really well so thats another good thing about him.
And i love he's sense of humor

As you expected, people, my next favorite person from the High School Musical Movies is none other than Zac Efron. What's good about Zac Efron? Well, he's one of the main stars of the hit Disney Channel Original Movies I have just mentioned. He's strong, muscular, and athletic. He has a passion for a cool, down-with-that sport (Basketball). He's quite a good dancer and singer...And guys admire him, while girls...Drool over him...LOL. What's bad about Zac Efron...Nothing that I can see. Absolutely nothing. So, let's sum up this review by doing a Zac Efron/Jesse McCartney comparison...Jesse McCartney is the Water Type and Zac Efron is the Earth Type. Cool, huh?
