International Development Program
People helping people help themselves
The International Development Program encourages a positive Alberta presence internationally by providing financial assistance to selected Canadian non-government organizations. The
Wild Rose Foundation matches contributions provided by Albertans to fund projects that improve the social and economic conditions among the poor in developing countries. Projects under this program are located in rural areas and smaller communities in the developing world. Focusing at the grass-roots level, they involve local volunteers in project planning and implementation. The contributions of the Government of Alberta reflect the long-standing support and commitment of Albertans as they work with non-government organizations abroad.
