Basic concept:
--------------
1)A deity listing with all of the Forgotten Realms gods, and the option for other pantheons to be added. 2)Canon domain restrictions on deities. 3)Enough custom domains to give the right "flavour" to each deity.
4)Custom domains that contain no scripting so that they can be used on any server or module as they are entirely client based. Check with a DM before using custom domains on their server/campaign out of courtesy.
Change Made from v.1.1 to v1.2
-----------------
* Currently using official 1.03 dialog.tlk. The altered lines are: 6277, 6292, 6298, 182355-182458, 184800-184917
* Restructured the nwn2_deities.2da to make switching between Forgotten Realms setting deities and Core Ruleset/Greyhawk deities easier.
* Added extra dialog.tlk entries to distinguish between Forgotten Realms versions of deities and their Core Ruleset counterparts.
* Added Hatred and Tyranny domains
* Added Archdevils and Demon Princes
Instructions
------------------
Unedited tlk file version:
*Download nontlkversion.zip, unzip the contents.
*Place the "icons" folder into "...\my documents\neverwinter nights 2\ui\default\images\"
*Place domains.2da and nwn2_deities.2da in your "...\my documents\neverwinter nights 2\override" folder.
Edited tlk file version:
*Download tlkversion.zip, unzip the contents.
*Carry out the second and third instructions as above, plus:
*Place the dialog.tlk file into your "...\my documents\neverwinter nights 2\" base directory.
To enable/remove gods:
The original ruleset pantheon is disabled by default. To add/remove deities from the in-game listing, simply open up the nwn2_deities.2da and alter the single digit number that directly follows the deity name (third column). A zero indicates the deity will appear in game, a 1 indicates it will NOT appear in game. Save it having made your changes and re-load NWN2.
Known Issues:
---------------
1) It appears that the nwn2_deities.2da domainID columns are not functioning as expected so the restrictions for domains based on deity selection are not officially in place yet. Using the altered .tlk version will at least show you the canon domains in the description when you choose the deity however.
2) Domains have not been created with PvP environments in mind so may be a little imbalanced in that respect. Suggestions for better balancing are welcomed.
Credits
-------
- thanks to Soul Filcher for uploading the missing deity icons.
- thanks to Sleaker for uploading the dragon and original ruleset deity icons with his own deity selection
--------------
Version 1.2 - This version has all the same functionality of the other version, minus the useful description panels on the right hand side during character creation. In addition some of the domain names are slightly altered (indicated in brackets in the readme).
Sorry no. The dialog.tlk method requires updating for every patch and I just don't have the interest to keep doing this. I might get back into it eventually, but until then I'll be taking down the tlk version as it is only compatible with version 1.03 of the game.
I might in the future release a version that is made for mod builders utilising a custom tlk.
The non-tlk version should still work for all users, but its just not as good without the tlk entries!
Nanoc_mai --> Anyone can create their own deities if you are able to edit the nwn2_deities.2da file, I've just done the full pantheon for Forgotten Realms and some of the Original Ruleset deities to save people the time of doing it themselves.
And I plan to make an update or two over the next few weeks once I get some uni work out of the way so that the dialog.tlk version is compatible with the 1.05 patch.
I added a diety that only allowed one Gender as Cleric,Paladin etc. and that breaks the diety for these Classes.
So I changed the diety that it can have both genders as Clerics etc. and now it works.
So I found a solution but its somehow strange that you can't make a male counterpart to Lloth
I encountered a Problem
If I level from 1 to 2 I have to choose a new diety and I'm not able to choose a custommade I can only choose one of the Original ones.
Has someone else encounterd that problem?
Or has someone a solution?
no, someone linked an old thread that mentioned something about xml adjustments, but at the moment I am not sure how that would work. Feel free to follow progress on this topic at: Link
hehe.
only because I'm a bit of an english and grammar nerd. Aussie here tho (so we tend to have British spellings over American ones).
But the Oxford says sow: Link
And actually the Merriam-Webster (which coincidentally is an American dictionary) does as well... you just need to click on the next entry for sow (verb). :D

Even I'm doing it now. I wish this place had an edit function.

As far as I always new (British upbringing), it's sewn. Perhaps this is one of those weird differences between the Queen's English and American English. I just had to prove I'm not an idiot, there.
It's "sow" as in to sow seed. Its pronounced sew, but is spelt sow, past tense "sown".
That having been said. There are probably quite a few typos, and I think something funny has happened to some of the dogmas while i've been cutting and pasting them where some have been cut off early. Please let me know about other spelling mistakes and any dogmas or descriptions that appear to get cut off half way through.
Thanks for the vote!

This is a truly wonderful addition and goes well with the 3.5ed rules by Even (replacing the domains there).
All this is really helping to flesh the game out and it's making the addition of Priests much more interesting. I might actually end up playing one at some point, just for kicks to take advantage of all this. Instead of just Zhjeave gaining all the boons.
If I had to offer any constructive criticism, it's that err ... well, there are a couple of typos. Like 'sow' in the screenshot, which is a pig or an ingot, so I believe that should be sew. Other than that I can think of absolutely nothing else, which is why I'm awarding it a 9.
Good idea and execution, fine work all in all.

I understand Chaosprism. I was just rewriting exactly what was in the Forgotten Realms Campaign book. I've been playing D&D since I was 14 (now 27). =)
Chezcaliente, I've seen 4 different listing for the Hatred domain now and they all vary slightly. The Forgotten Realms Campaign Book, Faiths and Pantheons, Players Guide to Faerun, and then the Spell Compendium book. In the Spell Compendium book, Rage is the level 4 Domain spell. Thats the book I have been using on Wednesdays to play my D&D campaign. hehe... and I use a priest of Bane. =P
Anyone notice how much fun an Evil campaign is? None of that saving people stuff. hehe... =D
ArcLight: Because theres no limit on the extra slot clerics get (in pace of an actual domain slot) theres no need to add hold person to level 2 cleric domain for example, thats why new domains give access to spells of other classes or to cleric spells of higher levels.
yeah, song of discord is what is in the Player's Guide to Faerun, so I'll keep it there. And yes, I realise about the one spell per level of PnP DnD, but the cleric spell list in NWN2 is already augmented which is why it is unnecessary for the game to add one spell per level for domains.
I'll put them both in when I've finished a lot of re-organisation of my nwn2_deities.2da and cleaned everything up a bit.

Looks good to me Chezcaliente! I think that in the Tyranny spell list cutting out the Bigby spell would be ok and probably even the mass charm monster. The NWN2 system works different than the D&D 3.5 system in which you get domain spells every level instead of the random level thing they do in NWN2.
As for the Hatred Domain power, seems like a fitting power. But I would really rather have Rage at 4th level instead of Song of Discord. Thats just my preference any how.
