PLEASE, NO SHARPSHOOTERS

The NBA has come around. It's finally adopting an idea our own Bill Simmons has been touting for years:
H-O-R-S-E at the All-Star Game.

Only three players will participate, though. So, the NBA should select them carefully, to ensure the game won't be too short.

To that end, Page 2 suggests any of these players:

• DeShawn Stevenson, Wizards: Stevenson averages 27.7 minutes a game. He is a shooting guard who is making 31.2 percent of his field goal attempts this season. Shockingly, the Wizards are 10-39.

• Sebastian Telfair, Timberwolves: Telfair primarily runs the point, but he also has experience as a shooting guard.

• Adam Morrison, Bobcats: Morrison is shooting only 36.1 percent from the field, but we're hoping he might be able to create his own shot in this setting.

• Jerome James, Knicks: This guy shot 100 percent from the field last season. He's in.

• Dwight Howard, Magic: Considering the players mentioned above, a good rebounder will be badly needed.
