February 9, 2009 - At the New York Comic Con, Fallout 3 executive producer Todd Howard revealed that Bethesda is developing games for a new screen: iPhone. Howard gave no further indication of what the game would ultimately be -- no hint if it is some sort of continuation of the Fallout universe or the extensive Elder Scrolls world. (Bethesda is no stranger to mobile -- there have been a handful of Elder Scrolls titles on the smallest screen.)

Of course, Bethesda has surprised before, too. The iPhone could be a good place for the game house to develop and debut a brand new IP without the risks of a big budget videogame release.

Bethesda's announcement of developing for the iPhone adds just one more heavy name to the list of traditional game makers picking up on the device, such as Konami, SEGA, and Namco.
