February 7, 2009 - A trailer was shown at New York Comic Con today for the remainder of Season 1 of Wolverine and the X-Men - though yes, we know you lucky Canadian viewers have already seen it. The footage showed a lot of action, with a major storyline involving a battle with Genosha, which is under the rule of Magneto – though an interesting moment then showed Magneto standing on the shoulder of a Sentinel, seemingly in control of it.

While Senator Kelly was shown ordering the attack on Genosha, he also declares "This is a war no one will win." The crowd cheered Wolverine's battle with Warren Worthington, now in his Archangel persona. Glimpses were shown of the Scarlet Witch, not to mention Jean Grey, with Cyclops declaring, "I'm not losing you again!" The search for Professor X also will clearly continue to be a major theme of the series. Jean Grey was also shown yelling, "You'll pay for what you've done!"

As for the future of the show, Marvel Animation's president, Eric Rollman, revealed, "We've already greenlit for a second season." He noted that Season 2 will be 26 episodes, and be done by the "same crew and the same cast."
