HOW HE GOT AWAY |
WHA/EXPANSION: Toronto lost Ley when he
jumped to the WHA in 1972. However, when Hartford entered the NHL in 1979,
the Maple Leafs were able to reclaim Ley's rights. Toronto left him
unprotected for the 1979 expansion draft, and Hartford got Ley back on June
13, 1979. |
