Smith, Cody named FWAA All-Americans

University of Alabama junior left tackle Andre Smith and junior nose guard Terrence Cody were named All-Americans by the Football Writers Association of America on Saturday.

The SEC and Big 12 conferences dominated the selections, combining for 13 players. Alabama, Florida, Penn State, Texas and USC each had two players on the team.

The FWAA All-America Team is the second longest continuously published team in major college football, dating back to 1944.
