Small amount of 4 Ply Yarn – Camel – Aqua – Gray - Brick - Black

1 Black Feather Plume (Optional) - or - See directions below.

Ό" Elastic - 5" long - sewn into a circle

Pants

R1: With Camel yarn – work 26 scs over an elastic circle – join – ch 3.

R2-R4: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R5: Dc in next 12 sts – skipping the next 13 sts - join to beginning ch [1st Leg formed] – ch 3. (13) sts

R6-R14: Dc in @ st around - join – ch 3. End of R14 –finish off.

Second Leg: Join yarn to the first unused st of R5 with a ch 3 - dc in next 12 sts – join – ch 3. (13) sts Repeat R5-R14 – finish off.

Shirt

Starting at lower edge – with Aqua yarn – ch 30 loosely – join to form a circle – ch 3.

R1-R3: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3. (30) sts

R4: Dc in next 7 sts – dc next [2] sts together – dc in next 12 sts – dc next [2] sts together – dc in remaining 7 sts – join – ch3. (28) sts

R5: Dc in next 6 sts – dc next [2] sts together – dc in next 12 sts – dc next [2] sts together – dc in remaining 6 sts – join – turn - ch 3. (26) sts

R6: Working back across sts just made – dc in next 4 sts – ch 5 – skipping next 4 sts – dc in the next 8 sts – ch 5 – skipping next 4 sts – dc in remaining 5 sts – turn - ch 2.

R7: * Dc next [2] sts together – dc in next st * - repeat across @ st + @ ch - turn - ch 2. (20) sts

R8: Repeat R7 – turn - ch 4. (13) sts

R9: Collar: Working in front loops only – tr in next 2 sts – 2 tr in next st – tr in the next 5 sts – 2 tr in the next st – tr in the last 3 sts – finish off.

Sleeves

R1: Join Aqua yarn to center underarm seam with a ch 3 – dc in @ st around – join – ch 3. (15) sts

R2-R4: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3. End of R4 – ch 2.

R5: * Dc next [2] sts together * - repeat around – join - ch 2. (8) sts

R6: Sc in @ st around – join – finish off.

Shirt Lacing

Cut a 10" length of Camel yarn. Thread through shirt front opening. Place a knot on both ends of thread.

Hat

With Gray yarn – ch 3 – join to form a circle – ch 3.

R1: 9 dc in center of circle – ch 2. (10) sts

R2: 2 scs in @ st around – join – ch 2. (20) sts

R3: Working in back loops only – sc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R4: Dc in @ st around – join – ch 3.

R5: 2 dcs in @ st around – join – ch 3. (40) sts

R6: Dc in @ st around – join – finish off.

Add Feather.

Feather

Using Black yarn - cut 1 - 5" thread [Stem] - cut 8 - 3" threads.

With Stem length - tie a knot 1/4" from upper end.

Knot @ 3" thread around stem - pushing up snuggley to the 1st knot - place a 2nd knot immediatly below the last 3" thread.

Trim all threads except the long end of stem - to a 1/2".

Unravel all yarn plys - bushing gently with soft brush for feathering.

Cape

With Brick yarn – ch 42 – turn - dc in 4th st from hook.

R1-R8: Dc in @ st across – turn – ch 3. (40) sts

R9: * Dc next [2] sts together – dc in next st * - repeat across – turn – ch 3. (26) sts

R10: Repeat R9 – turn – ch 2. (14) sts

R11: Edging – 2 scs in @ dc down first side – 3 scs in corner st – sc in @ st across lower edge – 3 scs in corner st – 2 scs in @ dc up second side – finish off.

Tie

Ch 25 – join chain to upper right edge of cape - sc in @ st across – ch 25 – finish off.
