Feb. 2008 - Newspaper Extracts
Old newspaper extracts are still being transcribed by Laurel Baty, adding to our list of obituaries, weddings and other items of interest to researchers. Check out the Newspaper Index to see everything, or the Obit / Wedding Indexes to see just those items.
For local researchers: When Laurel finishes with a roll of microfilm, she donates the film to the library in Rome Georgia, where they have an excellent genealogy room which is always staffed.

Feb 4, 2006 - Marriage Record Transcripts and 15,024 Images online!!!
Volunteers from all over helped with this project.
Check out the transcripts (and marriage record photos!) now online under "Records" on the navigation bar at top of page.
It's amazing what can be done when we work together!! |
Is your surname on the list?
The fastest way to grow your family tree is by letting other researchers know who you are researching. To have your Bartow County surname added to the list send me an email. Please be sure to "sign" your email. Thank you,
** Surnames with invalid email address will be removed. ** |
Here is a Funeral Card obtained from Freeman Harris Funeral Home. Wouldn't it be great if we could find a volunteer to photograph these? |
