FROM NEWSROOM.MTV.COM In a sea of musicians, many nominated on the recording industry’s biggest night, I would imagine that it can’t be easy to stand out as an actress. Yet, Kate Beckinsale — a presenter at tonight’s Grammys — was far and away the night’s best-dressed lady of the evening.

Beckinsale is impeccably dressed at every red-carpet event she attends, but tonight was something special. Wearing a long black mermaid gown (which might be her favorite look, since she also did the mermaid thing at the Golden Globes), she looked regal among her entertainer friends.
