The Eleventh Annual Asian American Literary Awards On December 8, 2008, The Asian American Writers' Workshop presented the highest award dedicated to Asian American literature. The Workshop honored fiction winner Mohsin Hamid (not pictured) for The Reluctant Fundamentalist (Houghtin Mifflin Harcourt) and (left to right), Members' Choice winner Ed Lin for This is a Bust (Kaya Press), Trinity College Professor Vijay Prashad for The Darker Nations: A People's History of the Third World (The New Press), Sun Yung Shin for Skirt Full of Black (Coffee House Press), and lifetime achievement award honoree David Henry Hwang, who read from his play M.
