Breaking the one week record previously set by Resident Evil 5, the Halo Wars demo on Xbox Live Marketplace was in very high demand.

Halo Wars Demo Sees 2 Million Downloads in First Week

Microsoft today unveiled that the Halo Wars demo on Xbox Live Marketplace was downloaded over two million times in its first week of availability. This breaks the record set by the Resident Evil 5 demo, which was downloaded 1.8 million times in its first week. Halo Wars will release to retail on March 3, 2009.

Additionally, Microsoft revealed that DLC offerings Fable II Knothole Island and Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage performed well during January. No sales numbers for either downloadable product were revealed.
