How many pre-32-bit games do you own?

IGN Retro is all about the classic games -- and apparently so are you readers. We recently put up a poll asking how many classic games you personally owned. Our definition of classic for the purposes of this poll was any game prior to the 32-bit generation. So, that includes anything before the Saturn, Nintendo 64, and PlayStation -- we're talking Vectrex to SNES and back again. The poll results reveal that good portion of IGN retro's readers have a pretty solid classic collection of their own.

Here is the breakdown of your personal collections, by how many games you own:

  • Zero: 11.6%
  • 1-5: 11.2%
  • 5-10: 9.1%
  • 10-25: 13.4%
  • 25-50: 17.9%
  • 50-100: 11.6%
  • Over 100: 14.3%

    And here's my favorite answer:

  • I am ashamed to admit: 10.5%

I'm totally with you guys. I am ashamed to admit how many I have, too. Although, I did have to thin the herd a little bit during a period of unemployment. The choice between groceries/shelter and Vectrex 3D Imager glasses was a tough one to make, but I was kinda getting hungry.
