GOALKEEPER Brad Jones has been called into the senior Australia squad for the first time.

The 24-year-old, who has played in the last two Premiership games against Portsmouth and Arsenal, has been called in by coach Graham Arnold to replace Mark Schwarzer, who is still receiving treatment for a back problem.

Jones has represented Australia at U23 and Olympic level, but his squad inclusion for tomorrow night's game at Loftus Road against Denmark takes it on another step for the Perth-born custodian.

Mark Viduka, pictured, has joined up with the Socceroos squad after he came through 90 minutes against the Gunners at the Riverside.

Captain of the national team, Viduka missed the drawn games with Bristol City and Portsmouth with hamstring problems and is reported to have suffered a slight calf muscle problem in the final quarter of an hour on Saturday. But speaking from the Australia camp today he said he felt fine.

Meanwhile it has just been announced that Australia will play Uruguay in Sydney and Argentina in Melbourne during four days in the first week of June.
