The Goodwill Bridge

Goodwill Bridge

The Goodwill Bridge is a vital pedestrian link between South Bank and the city.

It is just under 500 metres long but a brief walk along this architecturally impressive structure gives you a whole new perspective on South Bank, the Brisbane River and city.

It was opened in October 2001 and is not open to vehicular traffic. So, it is the perfect place to walk or ride your bike across the Brisbane River.  And 70 000 people do just that each week. The bridge features public art installations along its length.

Want to hire a bike or rollerbladesto cross the Goodwill Bridge on wheels?

When you cross the river from South Bank, you’ll be in the City Botanic Gardens and in the Gardens Point Campus of Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
