Cage the Rage
Review of Turok: Rage Wars (N64) by
DJdunce
Advantages: Fast, fun-filled action.
Disadvantages: Bland graphics.
Turok: Rage Wars is the third installment of the highly acclaimed turok series. Like PC shooter Unreal tournament, Rage Wars is a deathmatch only game which means those N64 loners out there can play the wonders of multiplayer deatmatch on their tod. Rage Wars is basically a big improvement on Turock 2's deathmatch with the addition of new arena, new characters, new weapons and of course computer controlled characters. With 40 excellent levels, four ...

Eat This Raptor Skum.....
Review of Turok: Rage Wars (N64) by
Danbuckley5
Advantages: gameplay, gore, graphics
Disadvantages: none really, maybe a little too easy...
This is the third installment of the highly acclaimed turok series from acclaim! You play a turok, the dinosaur hunter, but this time you don't play 'missions' as such. The whole game is set in a multiplayer environment, each mission being more like a deathmatch.
You must work your way along the paths for each character, and earn goodies and weapons along the way. There are 4 bosses on each characters path, but each character has different weapons, ...

Turok lucky it was cheap
Review of Turok: Rage Wars (N64) by
neilmoore67
Advantages: good levels, good graphics
Disadvantages: finished too soon, too easy
Turok Rage Wars for the N64 has good gameplay and multiplayer. It was really the first game with computer controlled multiplayer bots, and for the most part they are very good. However, after only a short time I became very bored and resorted back to Goldeneye.
The idea of having a huge multiplayer barmy by yourself without crisp and Coke pinching friends is a good idea, but it is badly worked. The levels are quite easy and the most frustrating ...

Turok Rage Wars
Review of Turok: Rage Wars (N64) by
waxcrayon
Advantages: Fantastically fun gameplay
Disadvantages: When you get tired of the comic parts, it's just another first person shooter
The first 2 Turok games for N64 were nothing really special, a couple of titles in a long list of the consoles average first person shooters, but Turok Rage Wars has a twist. This places the emphasis on the multiplayer game present in the previous titles, and works to good effect, creating lots of small levels with specific objectives. These range from normal combat (kill your enemies as much as you can), to boss levels (kill the boss as much as you ...

Turok at it's best
Review of Turok: Rage Wars (N64) by
Fungus
Advantages: Fun, firing mania
Disadvantages: Can get samey after a while
I have all of the Turok games and in my mind this is the best. No more trudging around massive levels getting lost, frustrated and eventually throwing your controller into the wall, just run around small levels shooting the hell out of everything. Great! Even better if you have a friend to blast the crap out of. Have a cooperative game and you'll be playing for hours. Even with out a mate you can play multiplayer with a wide range of bots, ranging ...

A raging game
Review of Turok: Rage Wars (N64) by
Fory
Advantages: 2 player co-operative
Disadvantages: 2 player can't be saved
The first only multi player game on any system (it was released before Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament) and anyone who has played any 4 player multi-player (such as Goldeneye) will know roughly what to expect. But with a little Turok magic. It has a mission system where you have to complete several levels and bosses and defeating Tal Set. That then opens a new character for all modes. 36 multiplayer levels designed for maximum combat intensity. ...

Solely Multiplayer?
Review of Turok: Rage Wars (N64) by
Tej_Jackson
Advantages: It has loads of multiplayer options and characters.
Disadvantages: It lacks a strong first player game, but does have two player missions.
This game is by far one of the best that are solely multiplayer on the N64, however, it does have asingle player mode which is not a hugely great game, as it is a multi player against simulants much like that of Perfect Dark, which came out recently. it is advisable that you have the expansion pack for this game, as the graphics do benefit and the gameplay is slightly faster at awcward points.
The game boasts the most characters I have seen in a ...
