Neighborhood of the Week: Jupiter Inlet Colony
In 1954, developer Charles Martyn bought what was 86 acres of oceanfront wilderness to build homes for Pratt Whitney engineers. He called his creation Jupiter Inlet Colony, which celebrates its 50th birthday this year. For years, even the locals knew little about the small town with its own police force, eight streets and what residents say is a view of water so blue it could be in the Bahamas.
