Kakha Kaladze, Board Member
Kakha Kaladze, a native Georgian, is a celebrated football star in Europe and successful entrepreneur. He is also the Captain of the Georgian national football team. Mr. Kaladze became the most expensive player in Georgian history when he was recruited by Italy’s AC Milan football team in 2001. With AC Milan, Mr. Kaladze has delivered championships to his team, including a Champions League Title and a FIFA Club World Cup Championship. Mr. Kaladze is involved in a number of commercial enterprises in Georgia and throughout the world. His first book, a biography, will be published in April 2008. It chronicles his life growing up in Georgia, rise to fame as a football player and success as an international businessman. A believer in supporting the Georgia community, he founded an initiative to fund football programs that will instill positive values in the country’s youth, as well as develop the country’s next generation of athletes.
Aleksi Aleksishvili, Board Member
Mr. Aleksishvili formerly served as Georgia's Minister of Economic Development and Minister of Finance from 2004 through 2007. He was also Chairman, UN commission for Sustainable Development. Mr. Aleksishvili received his degree in International Economic Relations from Iv. Javakhishvili Tibilisi State University, Georgia, and his master's degree in International Development Policy from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina.
