TWO of the world's biggest acts and a re-formed Midnight Oil will headline major bushfire benefit concerts in Melbourne and Sydney.British superstars Coldplay will join US rock act Kings of Leon to headline the concerts which feature an all-star line-up of Aussie and international acts.
Midnight Oil are a great group. but their music is so politically discredible to be played at a Bush Fire Appeal Concercert You only need to watch Countdown or Video Hits to know this country has a great line up of musicians who can support this appeal.Posted by: Aussie Artists of 8:48am today
All these muscians are donating their time at their own free will, they don't have to do it! To all the wonderful people donating their time to help bush fire victims I'ld like to say thank you. You put my faith back in humanity.Posted by: a little singed but not burnt of Gippsland 8:00pm February 24, 2009

The environment must be in pretty good shape or else we'd have to wonder just how big a carbon footprint would such a concert create. I'm also sick and tired of all the giving everyone is continually asked to do. Most bushfire victims will end up being far better off than they were before the fires (particularly those without any insurance). How long will it take the ever-shrinking number of workers to be taxed out of existence by bumbles and kruddles just because they want to "look" compassionate? Enough is enough!Posted by: compassion is starting to wear thin of 7:09pm February 24, 2009
