The Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute is a state-of-the-art academic health sciences center specializing in patient care, education, and research. Set to open in 2008, ours will be one of few heart institutes equipped to accommodate both adult and pediatric patients. It will provide a full range of heart care services, with a special focus on complex heart care, such as pediatric cardiac surgery and heart transplantation. It will also be a major research centre and a superb training centre for the heart specialists of the future.
