Kanye Mahna (1/27/06) - I just discovered Cake's fonky cover of the Muppets' "Mahna Mahna" and knew I had to put something on top. It was hard to find a vocal whose melody matched the chords, so I looked for some hip hop that kids are listening to these days, with vocals timed to play off the Mahna Mahna vocals.

Apeboy - Enya vs Prodigy (Lenlow Edit) (10/6/05) - This summer Commodore Vic played Enya vs Prodigy at Mash Ave and I thought "this is the best thing I have ever heard". So I tracked it down, and immediately wondered why Apeboy left out the chillout sections of both songs, which both led up to a sweet drop. So I rebuilt it from scratch and included the mellow parts. Big up Apeboy for the original idea.

The D is for Dirt (10/6/05) - I finished this one just a few hours before my plane to London, and the next day it got a great response at Bastard. I'm proud of the way I made Chuck D spell "bastard".

Took me a long time to find something to work so musically and comically as "Tradition".

Morning (6/3/05) - I've always wanted to use "Fire Like This" because it quite simply rocks. You might recognize those nasty drums from Me Myself and Irene. At the time I had the riff from "In the Morning" in my head, and by some coincidence it has the same kind of sound and title as "Every Morning". Good example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts, in my opinion.
