I. Chain Package
This part is all about the parcel that must be picked up for Oak. I
can also tell you that without this part, you cannot move on.

    A. Professor Oak's Parcel
         1. Pallet Town
All right, first of all choose your gender, your name name,
your rival's name, and now you're off. Starting, go down the stairs and talk
to your mom. Once you finally get away from her and head out the door,
immediately try to walk in the grass (North). Professor Oak will stop you and
make you run to his "lab". Pick a poke'mon. I suggest bulbasaur if you suck,
squirtle for a challenge, charmander for late winners. After trying to leave
your rival (I will now call him Gary) will challenge you to a battle.
Charmander = Squirtle. Bulbasaur = Charmander. Squirtle = Bulbasaur. If you
beat him, great! If not then your money just got thrown away. Head to Route 2
via the grass you couldn't cross earlier.

         2. Route 1
Walk up, then left, then right, then up. Make sure to talk to
the guy at the start so as to pick up a free potion.

         3. Viridian City
Head to the pokemart and you will be talked to by the worker.
She will give you a parcel for Oak. Once again go to...............................

         4. Professor Oak's "Lab"
Hand the parcel and sooner or later he will actually give you
something useful. It a pokedex!!!!! Boooooooooo! You owe me shipping fees. Oh
well, that is going to come in handy more than a few yen.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

II. Badge One
As the title suggests, this part is for those who cannot get past the
first badge

      A. Viridian Forest
           1. Route 2
O.K. just go back to Viridian and get some balls from the
mart......... yes you can buy them! Then head toward the gate in the north position.
There is grass so just avoid it. Walk through the doors and go through the
other doors. Go up toward the left ward grass then get to the left again.
Collect the item ball for yet another pokeball. If you see a caterpie then
catch it, especially if you got charmander for a starter. Do NOT catch a
metapod. Head out of the "free" pokeball grass and go right, up, fight the
catcher, up, fight the catcher, left, down, left, up, left, down, up, fight
the catcher and up to leave. If you haven't caught a caterpie then you better
go back and get one.
       B. Pewter City
            1. Pewter City
When exiting, make sure to catch a pidgey, rattata, and, if at
all possible, a pichachu. Is that difficult enough? He (or she) will help in
the second badge. Train all pokemon to level 12 and evolve caterpie.

            2. Brock
Hey, time to step up. First badge is hard. Defeat the first
guy with a sandshrew with butterfree. Heal if needed. If not, then go to Brock
and use butterfree for geodude and squirtle or bulbasaur for onix. What! You
don't have them. Hahahahahaha! Funny, because you can't use butterfree, for
all of it. If you try he will most likely keel over on onix. Then you must use
all the other pokemon that you hopefully caught. Good luck!

III. Mt. Moon
It's all about Mt. Moon. Nothing else.

       A. Part One
            1. Route 3

Take a right after going to the pokecenter and go up to the
weird entry where you WILL take the running shoes from the aid. You cannot
refuse. Walk around and defeat any of the trainers you want. Follow the path
that has been marked out. Head up to the pokecenter and heal before entering
Mt. Moon.
