There are two types of collectables in Killzone 2.
Helghan Intel are suitcases with a Helghan symbol on the side. They are often found on desks, but can be just about anywhere. Stand next to them and press the circle button to pick one up. There are 20 in the game.
Helghan Symbols are large badges affixed to walls. To collect them you must shoot them. If your primary weapon can't reach, you can always shoot it with your pistol. There are 32 in the game.
Corinth River
| Symbol: Stahal Arms Warehouse, at the first valve in the game, face the valve, then look out the window. It's on the wall of the building in front of you.

| After you've turned the first valve, Garza will kick down a door. In this next area you'll find intel on the stairs.
|
| When you jump into the storm drain you'll see one on the wall in this room.
|
| After you've jumped down into the storm drain and gotten the emblem there, you'll move to the next room and fight some enemies. In this room is a small area sealed by a fence. You can't enter, but you can shoot the symbol through the fence.
|
| When you are told to use the rocket launcher to blow a hole in the wall, enter the hole and look for the intel under the stairs.
|
Blood Meridian
| Symbol: When you first start this level, in the first area all the way to your left is a symbol on the wall. It's in a short hallway behind a burning car.
|
| To exit the first area you must blow up a door. Just past this door on the right are some wooden boxes. Destroy the boxes and you'll see the intel.
|
| After you blow the door, move forward to a room with some enemies. Here you'll see an alley that is blocked off. The symbol is at the end of the alley.
|
| After you turn the valve in this level, cross the bridge and go up the stairs. In this room, on the wall is a symbol.
|
| In the room before the elevator, behind a fence.
|
| Just before the elevator, in an alcove in the hallway.
|
| In the large room before you get to the Arc tower, on the floor near a set of stairs.
|
| As you exit the large room before the Arc tower, stop, turn around and look above the door you just went through.
|
Visari Square
In the kitchen the intel is in the corner, on the floor (yellow circle).
| An the start of the level you'll drop down a hole. When you land look at the building across the street. You'll see a lighted part of the building, and the symbol is located there.
|
| Inside the garage, on the second level is a door that is partway open. The symbol next to that door.
|
| Intel: when you are tasked to clear the building, when you drop down the hole, in the rubble in the room you land in.
|
| Symbol: when you come to the door blocked by electricity, there is a symbol on the wall to your left.
|
| Symbol: After the electrified door, move forward, you'll see some enemies shooting at you from the other side of a bridge. You'll see some stairs here, and there is a symbol above this stairway.
|
| Intel: after the defense section, in the kitchen where the two NPCs are talking about lunch, in the corner.
|
| Symbol: In the area where a Helghast APC crashes through a wall to ambush you, there is a symbol above one of the sandbag fighting positions.

Salamun District
| At the start of this level is a pipe covered by electricity. Shoot the box above the pipe to enter, pass through, and as you exit the pipe you'll see it in front of and below you.
|
| Intel: When you link up with Garza, fight your way up the stairs. You'll find some control rooms, and the intel is on a table in one of these rooms.
|
| Intel: After using the emplaced machinegun, you'll go through a door. Turn left, (don't follow Garza) and you'll find a room with the intel on the floor.
|
| Just after you get the intel listed above, Garza will open a door for you. In this room you'll find a symbol near the corner near the top of the wall. This is the room before you destroy the motor.
|
| Symbol: In Cornth Shanties, when you find the ambushed good guys, then encounter the drop ship, in the top corner of this area. It's the corner opposite from where you exit.
|
| Symbol: In the sewer you'll see some laser tripwires. Shoot these traps to disable them, then go up the ladder. At the top of the ladder look at the building to your left, the symbol is above the window.
|
| Intel: Near the end of the level you'll have to use a charge to open a door. There is intel just past this door. This is the same building were you have to plant the four charges on the pillars. Be sure to pick up the intel before you destroy the building.

Salamun Bridge
| Symbol: Before you enter the academy, there is a symbol above the front door.
|
| Symbol: When you enter the academy, in the first room is a symbol above the door you used to enter.
|
| Intel: In the first room of the academy, go up the stairs to the walkway and you'll find the intel on the floor near a pillar.
|
| Intel: There is a theater in the academy, and it's the scene of a large fight. When you exit this room there is a symbol above the door.
|
| Intel: Inside the academy, when you first enter the office (called the "principal's office" by your squadmates) there is intel on the desk. Grab it as soon as you enter the room. As soon as you come under attack you will not be able to get it. If you miss it you can use the mission select feature to go replay the section.

Suljeva Village
| Symbol: At the start of the level, you'll see a small bridge. From there look down into the canyon and you'll see a symbol.
|
| Intel: At the start of the level, cross the first small bridge, and go all the way to the left. It's on a platform over the canyon, where the canyon meets the wall.
|
| Symbol: Suljeva North, you'll go down an elevator. Exit the elevator and turn right You'll see to smokestacks. The symbol is on one of the smokestacks, but you can only see it from the other side.
|
| Intel: Suljeva North. After you are tasked to activate the antenna, you'll enter a building. Go through the second door, and it is on the floor to your left. It's the room with the dead ISA soldiers and the bolt gun.

| Symbol: Maintenance Office: when you enter the antenna array building/maintenance office there are passages that go left or right. Go down the left passage and you'll see the symbol in the hallway, above the bottom of the ramp.
|
| Symbol: Vojislav Mining Facility: After dealing with the snipers you'll come to the second antenna. It is a structure that extends out over the canyon. When you enter this structure you'll go up a small set of stairs and see directly in front of you an alcove with a wooden crate. The symbol is on the wall in front of this crate.

Tharsis Refinery
| Symbol: When the train gets to the station, on the hull of the train, near the front.
|
| Intel: Processing complex: when the bucket you're riding in stops, there are two control rooms next to each other. It's on a desk in the second room.

| Symbol: Processing complex: when the bucket you're riding in stops, there are two control rooms next to each other. On the walkway outside these rooms you'll find a symbol attached to the building.
|
| Intel: Transportation Control. In the map room, where you link up with Rico, on one of the tables.
|
| Symbol: After you link up with Rico, follow him out of the room until you see a cutscene. When it is over look around and on one of the large machines you'll see the symbol on the front near the top.

The Cruiser
The cruiser is an ISA ship, so there are no symbols here.
| After the anti-aircraft section you'll ride down an elevator, you'll enter a large room, go down some stairs and enter a second room. In this room, you'll find the intel on the catwalk.
|
Maelstra Barrens
This level is a vehicle section, and there are no Intel cases or symbols to find.
Visari Palace
| Symbol: Lazar Highway: at the start of the level you have to take out two emplaced machineguns. Before you enter this building (the first building of the level) look to your right. You'll see a building (a guidance tower) that overhangs the ocean. It's on the side of that building.

| Symbol: At the last guidance tower, before you blow it up, go to the emplaced machine gun. Look at the main structure an on the left side you'll see the symbol.

| Intel: Outside the last tower are some stairs that go down and lead to a small room where you'll find the intel.
|
| Symbol: You'll pass through a small room that overlooks the palace courtyard and this is where you start the courtyard battle. Inside this room, on the wall.
|
| Intel: In the place courtyard, near the center of the courtyard are two bunkers. Each has an emplaced machinegun. The bunker on the left has an intel case on the table against the back wall.

| Symbol: Just outside the palace door, near the machine gun on the left side.
